Bon tricot!

JUMPER: Knitting Gauge: 10 sts x 14 rows on needles size 9mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: *K4, P4*, repeat from *-* Stripes: See diagrams M.1 & M.2 Front piece: Cast on 42-46-50-58-62 sts (inclusive of 1 seam st at each side – all seam sts are knitted in garter st.) on needles size 8 in Snow colour 13-Beige and knit stripes as described in M.1. Knit the first 4 cm in Rib as follows: size S, L and XL 1 seam st *K4, P4*, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 seam st. Size M and XXL 1 seam st. *K4, P4*, repeat from *-*, finish with K4 and 1 seam st. Then change to needle size 9 and continue in stocking sts- note the purl side is the right side. After 1 report of M.1 continue in M.2 and after M.2 finish the piece in 09-old-rose. Remember to check your knitting gauge! At the same time when piece measures 15 cm and 25 cm inc 1 st each side = 46-50-54-62-66 sts. When piece measures 34-35-36-37-38 cm bind off for armhole each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-0-1-3-3 times and 1 st 1-3-2-2-3 times = 38-38-40-40-42 sts. When piece measures 47-49-50-52-54 cm bind off the centre 8 sts for the collar. Bind off at each neck edge on every other row 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2-2-3-3-3 times = 11-11-11-11-12 sts left for shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm. Back piece: Cast on as described on front piece. Size S, L, XL: Rib as on front piece. Size M and XXL 1 seam st. *K4, P4*, repeat from *-*, finish with P4, 1 seam st. Change to needle size 9 and continue as on the front. Bind off for armholes as on the front and continue until piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Bind off the centre 14-14-16-16-16 sts for the collar. On next row bind off 1 st at each neck edge = 11-11-11-11-12 sts left for shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 34 sts for all sizes (inclusive of 1 seam sts at each side) on needles size 8 in Snow colour 13-Beige. Knit stripes as described in M.1 – the first 10 cm are knitted in Rib with a seam sts either side. Then change to needle size 9 and continue in stocking sts with the purl side as the right side - at the same time on the first row of stocking sts. dec. 4 sts evenly on row = 30 sts. At the same time when sleeve measures 12 cm inc. 1 st each side every 11-8-6.5-4.5-3.5 cm a total of 4-5-6-8-9 times = 38-40-42-46-48 sts. At the same time, after 1 report of M.1 continue in M.2 and after M.2 finish the sleeve in 09-old-rose. When sleeve measures 49-49-48-46-45 cm bind off for the sleeve cap at each side on every other row: 3sts 1 time, 2 sts 1-2-2-2-2 times and 1st 2-1-2-3-4 times. Continue to bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 56-57-57-57-57 cm. Then bind off at each side 3 sts 1 time. The sleeve now measures approx. 57-58-58-58-58 cm. Bind off the remaining sts on next row. Knit the other sleeve. Assembly: Sew the right shoulder seam – remember the purl side is the right side out. Collar: Pick up 39 – 48 sts. Crochet around the neck with crochet hook size 7 in Snow colour 13-Beige as follows: 1st row: 1 dc in first st. *2 ch - miss 2 sts – 1 dc in the next st* repeat from *-* and finish the row with 2 ch and 1 sl st in the dc from beginning of row. 2nd row: 1 sl st in the first “loop” 3 ch (=1 tr), 1 tr in loop, 1 ch, 2 tr in loop, *miss 1 loop, 1 dc in the next dc, miss 1 loop. In the next loop crochet 2 tr, 1 ch, 2 tr*, repeat from *-*. Sew the sleeves on. Sew the sleeves and the sides together in the seam sts. MITTENS: Size: One size Materials: Snow 150 g colour no. 09,old rose Drops crochet hook no. 7 Accessories: 1 small safety pin for the crochet rose. Crochet Gauge: 10 slip sts on hook size 7 = 10 cm. NB: Because of different crochet techniques used by the individual, the gauge can vary, so you might have to drop a size up or down in hook size to obtain the correct gauge. Crochet info: Crochet around in sl sts without finishing off rounds Mitten: Crochet 28 ch. on hook size 7, in Snow (the slip sts string should measure approx 26 cm. You can add to this length should you wish the glove to be wider. The glove will be approx 5-6 cm smaller than the string) and form a ring with a sl st. Crochet 3 rows sl st at the top loop of the st – 1 sl st in each ch/sl st = 28. Continue to crochet sl st, but now crochet through the entire sl st. When the piece measures 13 cm make an opening for the thumb as follows: at beginning of row crochet 5 ch miss 5 sl st and continue row as before (the opening for the thumb will be approx 4 cm, you can change this size to be smaller or bigger depending on the number of ch and sl st you miss). On next row crochet 1 sl st in each ch = 28 sl st. Continue to crochet until the piece measures 24 cm (approx 2 cm shorter than the finished mitten). Dec as follows: Continue crochet sl st but skip every other sl st = 14 sl sts on row. Crochet 1 row. On next row, again skip every other sl st = 7 sl st. Dec 1 more time on last row = 3-4 sl st left. Pull the thread through the left sts and pull together. Sew tight. Thumb: Crochet 10 sl st round the opening for the thumb (1 sl st in each skipped sl st. and 1 sl st. in each crochet ch). Continue crochet sl st as before. When thumb measures 5 cm (or desired length) dec. as follows: crochet sl st but skip every other sl st = 5 sl st. left. Pull the thread through the left sts. Pull together. Sew tight. Flower: Crochet 4 ch on hook size 7 with Snow and form a ring with a sl st. 1st row: *1 dc in loop, 3 ch* repeat from *-* 3 times in total and finish with a sl st in the first dc = 3 ch loops. 2nd row: Crochet as follows in each loop: 1 sl st, 5 tr, 1 sl st = 3 leaves. Turn and continue row 3 from the wrong side. 3rd row: 1 ch, 1 dc around the 1st dc from the 1st row, 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 4th. tr from the first leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 1st tr from the second leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 5th tr from the second leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 2nd tr from the third leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, and finish with 1 sl st in the 1st ch from beginning of row = 5 ch loops. Turn and continue row 4 from the right side. 4th row: Crochet in each ch loop as follows: 1 sl st, 5 tr, 1 sl st = 5 leaves. Make up and sew a small safety pin to the back of the rose so you can attach it to one of the mittens. |
