Hvorfor står der, at jeg skal sætte de øverste 31 masker (ovenpå foden) på en tråd? Hvad skal der så ske med de 2 x 3 masker fra A4a og A4c? Skulle der ikke stå de øverste 37 masker?

Dear Mrs Felton, yes in this pattern the first 31-37-37 sts of the round are slipped on a thread for upper foot, so that you will work the last 31 stitches on needle for heel, starting from WS. Work A.6 over A.5 (read from the left towards the right from WS). Happy knitting!

Ez most komoly??? 35-43 évesekre? :D :D :D Tiszta szerencse, hogy olyan gondosan ellenőrzik a leírásokat, mint állítják. Tudják mit? Segítek. A "Size 35 to 43" azt jelenti, hogy '35–43-as méretben'.

INFORMATION FOR PATTERN: PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.6. Work the entire pattern in stocking stitch. Choose diagram for your size (applies to A.4). DECREASE/INCREASE TIP (evenly): To calculate how to decrease/increase evenly, use the total number of stitches on row (e.g. 78 stitches) and divide stitches by number of decreased/increases to be done (e.g. 6) = 13. In this example, decrease by knitting every 12th and 13th stitch together. If increase is done, increase after every 13th stitch (increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, on next round knit yarn over twisted to avoid holes). KNITTING TIP: To avoid the knitting tension to tighten when working pattern, it is important not to tighten the strands on back side of piece. Switch to a higher needle number when working pattern if the pattern is somewhat tight. HEEL DECREASE: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit until 8-9-9 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch knitted, turn piece. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Purl until 8-9-9 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to purl, purl 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch purled, turn piece. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit until 7-8-8 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch knitted, turn piece. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Purl until 7-8-8 stitches remain, slip next stitch as if to purl, purl 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch purled, turn piece. Continue decrease like this with 1 stitch less before each decrease until there are 15-15-17 stitches on needle. DECREASE TIP (applies to toe): Decrease as follows before A.4a./A.4c: Begin 2 stitches before A.4a/A.2c, knit 2 together. Decrease as follows after A.4a./A.4c: Slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked. ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCK: Worked in the round on double pointed needles, top down. Cast on 72-72-78 stitches on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with grey blue. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 1/purl 2) for 2 cm. Switch to double pointed needles size 3 mm, knit 1 round while decreasing 0-0-6 stitches evenly - read INCREASE/DECREASE TIP = 72-72-72 stitches. Read KNITTING TIP and work pattern according to A.1 in the round (= 9-9-9 repetitions of 8 stitches). On last round (see arrow in diagram) adjust number of stitches to 64-64-80 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Work A.2 in the round (= 4-4-5 repetitions of 16 stitches). On last round (see arrow in diagram) decrease 0-0-8 stitches evenly = 64-64-72 stitches. Work A.3 in the round (= 8-8-9 repetitions of 8 stitches). On last round (see arrow in diagram) adjust number of stitches to 66-72-72 stitches. Then work as follows: Work A.4a (= 3 stitches), A.4b (= 25-31-31 stitches), A.4c (= 3 stitches), A.5 (= 35 stitches). Work until A.5 is done vertically, there are now 62-68-68 stitches on needle. Piece measures approx. 20 cm. Now slip 31-37-37 stitches (= A.4) on 1 stitch holder (= mid on top of foot) = 31 stitches on heel. Work A.6 (= 31 stitches) over heel stitches for 5-5½-6 cm. Insert 1 marker in middle of row. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! Now work HEEL DECREASE - see explanation above - continue pattern according to A.6. After heel decrease work next round as follows: Work the 15-15-17 stitches from heel (in pattern A.6), pick up 12-13-14 stitches along the side of heel (pick up every other grey blue and off white to fit into A.6), work stitches from stitch holder (in pattern A.4) and pick up 12-13-14 stitches along the other side of heel (pick up every other grey blue and off white to fit into A.6) = 70-78-82 stitches. Work pattern according to A.4 over the 31-37-37 stitches on top of foot as before (repeat A.4 vertically), work the remaining stitch under foot according to A.6 and decrease on each side of the 31-37-37 stitches on top of foot as follows: Knit the last 2 stitches before A.4a together and knit the 2 stitches after A.4c twisted together. Decrease like this every other round 6-6-7 times in total = 58-66-68 stitches. Work pattern A.4 and A.6 until piece measures 17-18-21 cm from marker on heel (approx. 5-6-6 cm remain until finished measurements). Then work as follows: A.4a, A.6 over the next 25-31-31 stitches, A.4c, A.6 over the next 27-29-31 stitches and decrease for toes on each side of A.4a and A.4c - read DECREASE TIP (= 4 stitches decreased). Decrease like this on every other round 6-9-9 times in total and then on every round 4-1-1 times in total = 18-26-28 stitches remain on needles. On next round knit all stitches together 2 by 2 with off white = 9-13-14 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Work the other sock the same way. |
