Continuar com a agulha circular 4 mm e tricotar 1 volta meia diminuindo 14-14-14-16-16-18 malhas a intervalos regulares = 134-142-152-160-168-176 malhas. Que intervalos faço? Conseguem me ajudar?

If I cast on two needles, should I adjust the number of stitches I will cast on? Why do we need to knit 1 round between cast on and the rib?
15.07.2024 - 07:35DROPS Design answered:
Hi Jenya, if you cast on on two needles, you are supposed to cast on the same number of stitches. You can start ribbing directlu adter casting on if you wish so. Happy knitting!

Knitting up stitches around the neckline or sleeve.........for the former the pattern says "knit up 82 to 104 stitches (including stitches on stitch holder)" and for the latter it says "knit up 64 to 88 stitches (including stitches on stitch holder). Surely there must be a 'right' number according to size being knit. And what is that number???
21.05.2024 - 20:59DROPS Design answered:
Dear Andrea, the exact number can be changing, depending on how loose or thight you knit. Yes, for the smallest size the number should be close to the lower number, and the biggest size for the larger number, but the important thing is to have even numbers, and as many as you can comfortably pick up (not to few to pull together the edge) not to loose (so the edge would be flop out). Happy Knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge = knit 2 rows. DECREASE TIP (armholes and neckline): All decreases are worked from the right side! DECREASE AT BEGINNING OF ROW: Knit 3, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (1 stitch decreased). DECREASE AT END OF ROW: Work until there are 5 stitches left, knit 2 together, knit 3 (= 1 stitch decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- VEST – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round with circular needle, bottom up as far as the armholes. Then the front and back pieces are finished separately, back and forth. An edge is worked around the armholes and neckline to finish. BODY: Cast on 148-156-166-176-184-194 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and DROPS Lima or DROPS Daisy. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (knit 1, purl 1) for 4 cm. Change to circular needle size 4 mm. Knit 1 round and decrease 14-14-14-16-16-18 stitches evenly spaced = 134-142-152-160-168-176 stitches. Work stocking stitch in the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 19-21-24-27-30-33 cm, divide for the front and back as follows: Cast off the first 9-9-10-10-10-10 stitches, knit 58-62-66-70-74-78 and place these stitches on a stitch holder (front piece), cast off the next 9-9-10-10-10-10 stitches and knit the last 58-62-66-70-74-78 stitches (back piece). BACK PIECE: = 58-62-66-70-74-78 stitches. Start from the wrong side and continue the stocking stitch back and forth. AT THE SAME TIME, on the next row from the right side, decrease 1 stitch on each side for the armholes - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 2nd row (each row from the right side) a total of 7-7-7-8-8-7 times = 44-48-52-54-58-64 stitches. When the piece measures 31-34-38-42-46-50 cm, cast off the middle 30-32-34-36-36-38 stitches for the neckline and finish each shoulder separately. On the next row from the neck, cast off 1 stitch = 6-7-8-8-10-12 shoulder stitches. Cast off when the piece measures 33-36-40-44-48-52 cm. Work the other shoulder in the same way. FRONT PIECE: Place the 58-62-66-70-74-78 stitches from the stitch holder on circular needle size 4 mm. Start from the wrong side and work stocking stitch back and forth. AT THE SAME TIME, on the next row from the right side, decrease 1 stitch on each side for the armholes - remember DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 2nd row (each row from the right side) a total of 7-7-7-8-8-7 times = 44-48-52-54-58-64 stitches. When the piece measures 27-30-34-37-41-45 cm, place the middle 24-26-28-30-30-32 stitches on a stitch holder for the neck and finish each shoulder separately. Cast off at the beginning of each row from the neck as follows: 1 stitch 4 times = 6-7-8-8-10-12 shoulder stitches. Cast off when the piece measures 33-36-40-44-48-52 cm. Work the other shoulder in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. NECK: Start from the right side on one shoulder, using short circular needle size 3 mm, and knit up 82 to 104 stitches around the neckline (including the stitches on the stitch holder). Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 5 cm. Cast off. Fold the neck double to the inside and fasten with a couple of stitches. SLEEVE-EDGES: Start from the right side at the bottom of the armhole, using short circular needle size 3 mm, and knit up 64 to 88 stitches around the armhole. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 2 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Work the other sleeve-edge in the same way. |
