Klopt het dat de raglan in iedere naald gemeerderd wordt? Of 1 nld meerderen en volgende naald gewoon tricot? Dus 88 nld raglan ipv 44?
04.04.2024 - 06:10DROPS Design answered:
Dag Monique,

Bon tricot!

I am hoping that I am supposed to measure along the raglan line to get to the desired length before arms are separated. Not measuring straight down, right? I am also confused that according to the measurement drawing I have to knit an XL, when usually everything I wear is an M.
13.01.2021 - 22:08DROPS Design answered:
Hi Berrit, Sorry, but the measuring is straight down the yoke not along the raglan-line. Happy knitting!

Knitted jumper with raglan and stripes in DROPS Fabel. Piece is knitted top down with double neck edge. Size: S - XXXL
DROPS 218-35 |
|
------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- STRIPES: Work alternately 1 round with colour sand and 1 round with colour grey. INCREASE TIP-1 (evenly): To calculate how to increase evenly, use the total number of stitches on round (e.g. 222 stitches) and divide stitches by number of increases to be done (e.g. 6) = 37. In this example increase after every 37th stitch. Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, on next round work yarn over twisted to avoid holes. INCREASE TIP-2 (applies to sides of body): Begin directly before stitch with marker, make 1 yarn over, knit 1, make 1 yarn over (= 2 stitches increased). Repeat at both markers. On next round work yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. RAGLAN: Increase for raglan on every round with colour sand as follows: Increase 1 stitch on each side of stitch with marker at every transition between body and sleeves. Increase by making 1 yarn over, work yarn over twisted on next round to avoid holes. Work the increased stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP (applies to mid under sleeves): Begin 2 stitches before stitch with marker, knit 2 twisted together, knit 1 (stitch with marker), knit 2 together (= 2 stitches decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked in the round on circular needle, top down. Sleeves are worked in the round on a short circular needle, switch to double pointed needles when needed. YOKE: Cast on 120-136-140-152-164-168 stitches on circular needle size 2.5 mm with grey. Work rib in the round (knit 2/purl 2) in the round until piece measures 12 cm. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. Insert a marker in piece here - this is now used for measurements. Insert 4 marker threads in piece (without working the stitches): Insert first marker thread in 1st stitch on round (= beginning on round, between back piece and sleeve), insert second marker thread in the 22nd-22nd-24th-24th-25th-25th stitch on round, insert third marker thread in the 61st-69th-71st-77th-83rd-85th stitch on round and insert fourth marker thread in the 82nd-90th-94th-100th-107th-109th stitch on round. There are now 20-20-22-22-23-23 stitches between stitches with marker thread on each sleeve, and 38-46-46-52-57-59 stitches on front and back piece. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Switch to circular needle size 3 mm and colour sand. Work in stocking stitch, STRIPES and increase for RAGLAN - read explanation above, on every round with colour sand until 26-28-32-36-40-44 increases for raglan have been done vertically = 328-360-396-440-484-520 stitches on row. Work in stocking stitch and stripes until piece measures 21-23-25-26-28-30 cm from marker by the neck. Now divide piece for body and sleeves from beginning of round (at 1st marker) as follows: Work the first 2-1-1-1-3-5 stitches on round (these stitches belong to back piece), slip the next 70-76-86-94-99-103 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve without working them, cast on 7 new stitches in the side under sleeve, work the next 94-104-112-126-143-157 stitches (= front piece), slip the next 70-76-86-94-99-103 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve without working them, cast on 7 new stitches under sleeve and work until next beginning of round (= the rest of back piece). Then finish body and sleeves separately. Remove the marker threads in piece. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! BODY: = 202-222-238-266-300-328 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in the middle of the 7 stitches cast on under each sleeve – move the marker threads upwards when working. Continue in the round in stocking stitch and stripes (beginning of round can be moved to marker in the side, but then the strand must be cut to get the stripes right). When piece measures 3 cm from division in all sizes, increase 2 stitches in each side - READ INCREASE TIP-2 (= 4 stitches increased). Increase like this every 4-4½4½-4-4-3½ cm 5-5-5-6-6-7 times in total = 222-242-258-290-324-356 stitches. Work until piece measures 29-29-29-30-30-30 cm from division. Switch to circular needle size 2.5 mm and colour grey. Knit 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 6-10-6-6-0-4 stitches evenly - read INCREASE TIP-1 in explanation above = 228-252-264-296-324-360 stitches. Work rib in the round (knit 2/purl 2) until rib measures 3 cm in all sizes. Switch back to circular needle size 3 mm and cast off by knitting. Jumper measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm from shoulder and down. SLEEVE: Slip the 70-76-86-94-99-103 stitches from stitch holder in one side of piece on a short circular needle or double pointed needles size 3 mm, pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 7 stitches cast on under sleeve = 77-83-93-101-106-110 stitches stitch. Work in stocking stitch in the round with stripes as before. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the 7 stitches that were picked up. When sleeve measures 2 cm from division in all sizes, decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this approx. every 2½-2-1½-1-1-1 cm 12-13-16-20-21-23 times in total = 53-57-61-61-64-64 stitches. Work until sleeve measures 37-36-35-34-33-31 cm from division. Switch to double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and colour grey, knit 1 round and decrease 1-1-1-1-0-0 stitches evenly = 52-56-60-60-64-64 stitches. Work rib (knit 2/purl 2) until rib measures 6 cm in all sizes. Switch back to double pointed needles size 3 mm and cast off by knitting. Work the other sleeve the same way. ASSEMBLY: Fold rib at the top of neck in towards the wrong side. Fasten rib to form a folding edge. To avoid a tight neck edge and fold it outwards, it is important not to sew the seam stitch for stitch– make instead a little longer stitches, to get an elastic seam. |
