How to work a marker thread around a stitch

In this DROPS video we show how to work a marker thread around a stitch. When using marking thread in a work, you often put a marking thread between two stitches, but sometimes you have to put a marking thread in a stitch. To avoid letting the marking thread sit in the stitch, you can let the marking thread follow the stitch around.

Dag Christel,

Het gaat erom dat je bepaalde steken herkent/markeert. Je kunt er een veiligheidsspeld in steken, speciaal daarvoor bestemde markeerders of een stukje draad in een opvallende kleur.

DROPS Design :

Dear Agnes, you can use normal markers (plastic or metal ones) as well. If you use marker threads, make sure they are visible, from a contrasting yarn color (not the same one you are working with) or it might be confusing or difficult to see.
