Hi Mette, I always block a new garment. This way you know how it will look like. Additionally the stitches and motifs are more even. Happy knitting!

Beim Übergang vom Halsblende zur Passe stimmt was nicht. Größe L: Letzte Halsblendereihe hat 84 Maschen und 1. Passereihe ohne abnahmen 80 Maschen, was bedeutet dass 4 Maschen fählen... Habe ich was falsch verstanden ??? Was ist richtig ???
27.10.2025 - 07:04DROPS Design answered:
Hi, Durdica, the stitches where you have inserted e marker counts as 1 stitch, and should not be counted when you count the sleeves and front and back piece. The first row should be like this (in M): 1 stitch with a marker, 11 stitches, 1 stitch with a marker, 29 stitches, 1 stitch with a marker, 11 stitches, 1 stitch with a marker, 29 stitches = 84 stitches in total. Happy knitting!

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, on next round knit yarns over as explained below: BEFORE STITCH WITH MARKER: Slip stitch off left needle and put it back on left needle but the opposite way (insert left needle in from behind when slipping it back on needle). Knit yarn overs in front loop of stitches to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. AFTER STITCH WITH MARKER: Knit yarn overs in back loop of stitches to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread as follows: Work until 4 stitches remain before marker thread and knit 2 together, knit 4 (marker thread is in the middle of these 4 stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked (= 2 stitches decreased). ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: In this pattern needles of different length have been used, begin with fitting length for number of stitches and switch as needed. Work neck edge and yoke in the round on circular needle from right shoulder back, and work top down. When yoke is done, divide piece for body and sleeves. Work body down wards in the round on circular needle while putting the sleeves aside. Then work sleeves downwards in the round on needle. NECK EDGE: Cast on 76-80-84-88-92-96 stitches on circular needle size 4.5 mm with 1 strand DROPS Melody or 2 strands DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk. Work rib in the round = knit 1/purl 1 for 4 cm. Beginning of round is at right shoulder at the back. Insert 1 marker after the first 25-26-27-28-29-30 stitches on round (= approx. mid front), measures piece from this marker. YOKE: Continue with circular needle size 7 mm. Insert 4 markers in piece without working the stitches, insert markers in a stitch and these stitches are called raglan stitches and worked in stocking stitch. Insert 1st marker in first stitch, count 11 stitches (= sleeve), insert 2nd marker in next stitch, count 25-27-29-31-33-35 stitches (= front piece), insert 3rd marker in next stitch, count 11 stitches (= sleeve), insert 4th marker in next stitch, 25-27-29-31-33-35 stitches remain after last marker (= back piece). Work in stocking stitch in the round and increase for RAGLAN on each side of the 4 markers - read explanation above. Increase for raglan every other round 15-16-17-19-20-22 times in total = 196-208-220-240-252-272 stitches. Remember to follow the knitting tension! Continue with stocking stitch without increase until piece measures 20-22-23-24-26-28 cm from marker mid front. Now divide yoke for body and sleeves. DIVIDING FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: AT THE SAME TIME as next round is worked divide yoke for body and sleeves as follows: Work 1-1-1-1-2-2 stitches in stocking stitch (= belongs to back piece), slip the next 41-43-45-49-49-53 stitches on a strand for sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve), work 57-61-65-71-77-83 stitches in stocking stitch (= front piece), slip the next 41-43-45-49-49-53 stitches on a strand for sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve) and work the last 56-60-64-70-75-81 stitches in stocking stitch (= back piece). Finish body and sleeves separately. BODY: = 126-134-146-158-174-190 stitches. Insert 1 marker in one side of piece (= in the middle of the 6-6-8-8-10-12 stitches that were cast on under sleeve). Work until marker, round begins here and work in the round. Work stocking stitch until piece measures 42-44-46-48-50-52 cm from marker mid front. Switch to circular needles size 4.5 mm, work rib (= knit 1/purl 1) while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 38-42-44-50-54-58 stitches evenly on 1st round = 164-176-190-208-228-248 stitches. When rib measures 4 cm in all sizes, cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Jumper measures 46-48-50-52-54-56 cm from marker mid front and approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm from the top of shoulder. SLEEVES: Slip 41-43-45-49-49-53 sleeve stitches from one thread on to circular needle size 7 mm and pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-8-8-10-12 stitches cast on under sleeve = 47-49-53-57-59-65 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in the middle of the 6-6-8-8-10-12 new stitches under sleeve - round begins at the marker thread. Work in stocking stitch in the round on needle - AT THE SAME TIME when sleeve measures 2 cm from division, decrease mid under sleeve – read DECREASE TIP and decrease as follows: Decrease 2 stitches every 8-6-5-4-3½-2½ cm 5-6-7-9-9-12 times in total = 37-37-39-39-41-41 stitches. Work until sleeve measures 40-38-38-37-35-34 cm from division. Switch to double pointed needles size 4.5 mm and work rib (= knit 1/purl 1) while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 11-11-13-13-13-13 stitches evenly on 1st round = 48-48-52-52-54-54 stitches. When rib measures 4 cm, cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Sleeve measures approx. 44-42-42-41-39-38 cm from division. |
