Bon tricot !

Gauge: 16 sts x 20 rows on larger needles with 2 strands in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: * K 3, P 3 *, repeat from * - *. Pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side. The different patterns are indicated with lines on the right side of the chart – M.1 = Pattern 1, M.2 = Pattern 2, etc. – read instructions below carefully! Note that the solid black squares represent sts that do not exist – do not knit these as sts! Body: Cast on 131-143-155-167-179 sts on smaller circular needles with 1 strand of each yarn (2 strands); join and establish rib as follows: Size S: K 3 (put a marker in the center of these sts = side), P 3, K 2, P 2, K 2, P 3, K 3, P 6, K 3, P 6, K 3, P 3, K 3, P 8, K 3, P 3, K 2, P 2, K 2, P 3, K 3 (put a marker in the center of these sts = side), * P 3, K 3 *, repeat from * - * over the remaining sts (= back), finish row with P 3. Knit rib as established for 3 cm. Change to larger circular needles and establish pattern as follows: Size S: K 3, P 3, K 6, Pattern 1 (= 44 sts), K 6, P 3, K 3, P 3, K 57, P 3. Size M: K 3, P 3, K 9, Pattern 1 (= 44 sts), K 9, P 3, K 3, P 3, K 63, P 3. Size L: K 3, P 3, K 12, Pattern 1 (= 44 sts), K 12, P 3, K 3, P 3, K 69, P 3. Knit pattern as established, repeating Pattern 1 as needed to specified measurements below. Read the entire next section before knitting: Side inc: When the piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st at each side of each marker – knit the increased sts in stockinette st, repeat inc when the piece measures 20 and 28 cm. Pattern: When the piece measures 13-14-15-16-17 cm knit Pattern 2 over the center 44 sts on front – on the first row you inc 3 sts – see chart! After Pattern 2 knit Pattern 3 over the center 47 sts. After all incs at the side and in the pattern = 146-158-170-182-194 sts. Armhole: When the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm bind off 5 sts at each side for armhole (= the st with the marker + 2 sts each side of it). Back: = 67-73-79-85-91 sts. Continue in pattern as established. Bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-1-2-3-4 times and 1 st 2 times = 57-59-61-63-65 sts. When the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm bind off the center 25-25-27-27-29 sts for the neck. Then bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row = 14-15-15-16-16 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Front: = 69-75-81-87-93 sts. Bind off for armhole as on back, and at the same time after Pattern 3 knit Pattern 4 (you dec 3 sts in Pattern 4 – see the chart), then repeat Pattern 5 to finished measurements. When the piece measures 44-46-47-49-50 cm bind off the center 14-14-16-16-18 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3 times = 14-15-15-16-16 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 36-36-42-42-42 sts on smaller double-pointed needles with 1 strand of each yarn (2 strands); join and place a marker at the join. Knit rib for 3 cm – place a K 3 at the marker so that the marker is in the center st. Change to larger double-pointed needles and continue with rib (P 3, K 3 (with marker in center st), P 3) at the marker and the remaining sts in stockinette st to finished measurements. When the piece measures 9 cm inc 1 st at each side of rib-sts every 4.5-3.5-4-3-2.5 cm a total of 9-11-9-11-13 times = 54-58-60-64-68 sts – knit the increased sts in stockinette st. When the piece measures 47-46-45-44-43 cm bind off 5 sts at marker (P 1, K 3, P 1) and knit the sleeve back and forth. Then bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 1-2-3-3-4 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 55 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. The piece measures approx. 56 cm, bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Neckband: Pick up approx. 80-100 sts around the neck on smaller double-pointed needles with 1 strand of each yarn (2 strands); join and place a marker at the join. Knit 5 rows stockinette st (= rolled edge), bind off – so that the edge will roll nicely, K 2 sts in approx. every 6th st at the same time as binding off. Sew in sleeves. |
