Cast on -Tubular

Makes flexible and elastic edges perfect for the edge on a ribbed top down sock, ribbed cuff edges etc.
The white thread we use are waste yarn that we pull out later. After casting on, the sts with the white thread around are P sts. Knit the K sts, and lift the P sts with yarn in front of work.
After 4 rows (more if thinner yarn) you pull out the waste yarn and continue in rib, now working both K and P sts.

Bonjour Mme Vannetelbosch, dans votre cas, montez bien votre nombre de mailles (84) - si c'est plus simple pour vous, vous pouvez aussi monter vos mailles (83 = nombre impair) et tricoter en rangs comme dans la vidéo, puis joindre pour continuer en rond en montant 1 maille à la transition. Bon tricot!

Bonjour Mme Vannetelbosch , tout à fait, au 1er tour, vous tricotez ainsi *glissez 1 m à l'env (fil derrière), tricotez 1 m env*, puis au 2ème tour, *tricotez 1 m end, passez le fil devant et glissez 1 m à l'env,, repassez le fil derrière*. Autrement dit, tricotez d'abord seulement les mailles envers au 1er tour et tricotez seulement les mailles endroit au 2ème tour, attention à bien placez votre fil lorsque vous glissez 1 maille. Bon tricot!

Bonjour Catherine, vous pouvez tout à fait adapter cette technique pour le tricot en rond, essayez ainsi, en rond, ou bien tricotez les premiers tours en rangs et continuez ensuite en rond, vous pourrez alors fermer les rangs avec le fil de pelote du début. Bon tricot!

Dear Nelli, you can use this technique to cast on stitches that should be worked in ribbing K1/P1 - just work the first 4 rows as shown then continue working in rib K1/P1. Happy knitting!

In this DROPS video, we show you how to work each front piece with diagonal shoulders and short rows, the piece is worked bottom up.
