Bonjour Mme Defond, tricotez d'abord en allers et retours comme indiqué dans le modèle (voir la vidéo du jersey en aller-retour sur aiguille circulaire), puis pour continuez en rond: à la fin d'un rang sur l'endroit, joignez l'ouvrage en rond pour tricoter la 1ère m de suite après la dernière m du tour (placez un marqueur pour repérer le début du tour), et continuez le point fantaisie comme indiqué (on tricote maintenant sur l'endroit tous les tours). Bonjour Mme Riva, pour continuer en allers et retours, on tricote le dernier tour comme si c'était un rang sur l'endroit (surtout en cas de motif ajouré, torsade ...) puis on continue chaque pièce séparément l'une après l'autre en continuant par 1 rang sur l'envers (si le dernier tour était bien comme un tour sur l'endroit). Bon tricot!

Bonjour Amandine, quand on tricote en rond, on tricote les mailles telles qu'elles doivent se présenter, vu sur l'endroit, ainsi, c'est la raison pour laquelle on ne montre en général que ces 2 points, ce sont les plus couramment employés et utiles. Bon tricot !

Si votre aiguille circulaire est trop longue pour votre nombre de mailles, regardez la vidéo "magic loop" vous pourrez ainsi tricoter en rond, sur circulaire. Bon tricot !

We have several designs based on knitted squares. This is how you knit a square: Cast on 8 sts on double pointed needles. Distribute sts on 4 needles with 2 sts per needle. Knit a first round and at the same time insert a marker in the first stitch on every needle. Round 2: Knit the stitches with markers and purl remaining sts at the same time inc 1 st by making a yarn over on each side of each st with marker (= 8 inc per round). Sometimes our patterns tell you to work a number of rows in garter st on the middle sts with remaining sts in stockinette or pattern as before. This is how we do it when working in the round. Several of our most popular patterns (example 146-2, 148-1, 126-1, 150-11) starts in the center of the piece with a few stitches and double pointed needles. It's a bit tricky to get started but gets easier and easier as you increase. Make sure to use markers to show where the increases are made. Keep increasing and work your way out. As the piece grows you continue with a longer and longer circular needle to fit all stitches. In this DROPS Video we show an example from pattern 146-2 on how to do so. There are different methods to cast on. This one is the most common that gives a firm but still elastic edge. It’s called the continental method. The cast on should be firm but not too hard. If you feel it becomes too tight you can use larger needles or cast on around two needles and then pull one needle out afterwards. Remember to use the correct needles when starting your knitting.
