How to knit an i-cord back and forth

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit an i-cord back and forth on the needle. An i-cord is a knitted tube. Often used for the handles on a bag or cords to tie on a hat, jacket or hood. We have another video showing how to make a small i-cord knitting from RS only, but with this one we show you how you how to make a larger one. You can cast on 4, 6, 8 sts or more, but it has to be an even number. Knit every row back and forth like this: *K1, put thread in front of piece, slip 1 st as if to purl, put thread behind piece*, repeat from *-* on all rows. This creates a round string. When long enough knit sts tog 2 by 2 at the same time as binding off. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. You’ll find patterns where this technique is used by clicking on the pictures below.

Witaj Anno, oczywiście można tasiemkę I-cord poszerzyć, wystarczy nabrać większą liczbę oczek. Należy pamiętać, aby liczba oczek była parzysta. Pozdrawiamy!

Bonjour Mme Martin, nous n'avons pas encore réalisé de cordon en I bicolore, mais je suppose que vous pouvez le faire de la même façon, pensez à bien placer vos fils pour qu'ils soient cachés à l'intérieur du cordon lors des changements. Bon tricot!
