How to knit the increase tip in DROPS 175-1

Keywords: raglan, sweater,

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit the increase tip used in the Wild Down jumper in DROPS 175-1. INCREASE TIP: Work until there is 1 stitch left before the marker thread. Work 1 yarn over, knit 2 (the marker thread sits between these 2 stitches) and work 1 yarn over. On the next row, work the yarn over stitches in twisted knit to prevent holes (the increased stitches are worked in stocking stitch). This jumper is knitted in DROPS Merino Extra Fine, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. You’ll find the pattern by clicking on the picture below.

I am unclear where to insert markers or marker threads. Also, where do I start increases for sleeve? Many

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Jessie, you increase for sleeve at the beginning of sleeve, after A.1 and at the end of sleeve before next A.1. there is no specific markers to add there but you can add some on each side of A.1 if it can help. Happy knitting!
