ROUND 1: Work * 1 dc around first/next dc from last round on bottom (i.e. work around reverse dc), 1 ch, skip 1 dc from last round on bottom *, repeat from *-* the entire round. This is unclear to me. I ended up with the Reverse DC behind this round and invisible. How do I "work round reverse cd"? Can you make a little demonstration video?

Dear Mrs Tergis, when working the first round insert the crochet hook in the same stitch as you did for the previous round work with reversed dc -this round will be worked around the previous round, there will be one dc visible for this round, and 1 chain, skip 1 stitch (= 1 dc from previous round visible), just as shown on the picture. Hope this helps. Happy crocheting!

My piece is not bending between the base and the edge, so is quite flat rather than basket shaped. I've re-crocheted many times but I cannot work out what I need to do (I am new to crochet). Could you advise me on what I might be doing wrong?
08.09.2020 - 12:58DROPS Design answered:
Dear Dani, piece should be flat until piece measures 18 cm in diameter (or desired width) ie until you continue increasing = this is the bottom of the basket, then you will crochet 1 stitch in every stitch, 1 chain over every stitch = you do not increase anymore, after some rounds in pattern (as explained ) you should see edge going straight since you don't increase anymore (your number of stitches should be now always the same to the end). Happy crocheting!
