Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in American and British English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in British English, please click here.
See diagrams A.1 to A.3. Diagrams show colors in pattern. 1 square = 1 sc.
A.1 = small basket and A.2 = large basket.

Use yarn from both inside and outside of the ball. When switching to a new ball, try to avoid switching both strands at the same time - to avoid a thick yarn when fastening.

COLOR PATTERN (worked in the round):
When changing color work as follows: Work last sc with first color but wait with last pull through, switch to next color and work last pull through, then work next sc. When working with two colors place strands for the color not worked over sts from previous round, work around the strands so that they is hidden and follows in the round.

Replace first sc at beg of every round with ch 1, finish round with 1 sl st in 1st ch.

Work in the round with 2 strands of each color - READ DOUBLE YARN TIP.

Work 4 ch on hook size 6 mm / J/10 with 2 strands black and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Then work PATTERN - see explanation above, in the round according to diagram A.1/A.2 (6 repetitions in width) - READ COLOR PATTERN.
ROUND 1: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 6 sc in ch-ring.
ROUND 2: Work 2 sc in every sc = 12 sc.
ROUND 3: Work * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 18 sc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE!
ROUND 4: Work * 1 sc in each of the first/next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 sc.
ROUND 5: Work * 1 sc in each of the first/next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 30 sc.
ROUND 6: Work * 1 sc in each of the first/next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 sc.
Continue with inc and pattern as before, i.e. on every round work 1 more sc between inc until 12-14 rounds have been worked (NOTE: On the 2 rounds in A.X switch the pattern color on every repetition around, so that every other section is with spray blue and dark beige the entire round) = 72-84 sc on last round.
Continue to work in the round but without inc and work according to A.3 (= 6-7 repetitions in width). Continue until A.3 has been worked, fasten off.

All measurements in charts are in cm.
