GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K sts on all rows.

GARTER ST (in the round on circular needle):
* K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*.

PATTERN:
See diagram A-1 for zigzag pattern, A-2 for dec and A-3 for stripes. 1 repetition = 19 sts in width.
----------------------------------------------------------

BAG:
Worked in the round on circular needle, bottom up.
LOOSELY cast on 114 sts on circular needle size 5.5 mm / US 9 with 1 black thread Big Fabel or 2 threads Fabel.
Switch to circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 and work 4 rounds in garter st - see explanation above. Switch back to circular needle size 5.5 mm / US 9 and continue with zigzag pattern according to A-1 and stripes according to A-3. REMEMBER THE GAUGE!
When piece measures 27 cm / 10½'', finish the piece with circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 and black.
First work A-2 one time vertically = 90 sts, then continue in garter st until piece measures 32 cm / 12½'', loosely bind off.

SHOULDER STRAP:
Worked back and forth on needle.
Cast on 10 sts with black on needle size 4.5 mm / US 7, work in garter st back and forth for approx. 75 cm / 29½'', bind off.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew bag tog at the bottom, tip against tip.
Fasten the strap in each side of bag – sew edge to edge to avoid a chunky seam.

When I do zigzag patternA1 and then knit all stitches next row there is a small whole where the yarn over was in previous row is that correct or do I do something different?? Thank you

DROPS Design 26.03.2013 kl. 10:24:

Dear Jennifer, if you don't like this small hole, it can be a good idea to work the yo into back of loop on next round. Happy knitting!
