GARTER ST (back and forth on circular needle): K all rows.
--------------------------------------------------------

BACK PIECE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle to make room for all the sts. Back piece is worked 6 cm / 2 3/8'' longer than the front piece in all sizes.
Cast on 98-100-104-106-110-114 sts on circular needle size 7 mm / US 10½ with Vienna or Melody. Work 4 rows in GARTER ST - see explanation above - and then continue in stockinette st with 3 sts in garter st each side. When piece measures 79-81-83-85-87-89 cm / 31''-32''-32 3/4''-33½''-34¼''-35'', bind off the middle 18-18-20-20-22-22 sts for neckline and finish each shoulder separately. On next row bind off 1 st towards the neckline = 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts remain for shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 81-83-85-87-89-91 cm / 32"-32 3/4"-33½"-34 1/4"-35"-35 3/4".

FRONT PIECE:
Cast on and work as back piece until piece measures 41-43-45-45-47-49 cm / 16"-17"-17 3/4"-17 3/4"-18½"-19 1/4", finish with P 1 row from WS. Then divide the piece and finish each part separately as follows: cut the yarn and slip the first 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts on a stitch holder, 59-60-63-64-67-69 sts remain on needle. Now work 2 sts in each of the first 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts on needle (these sts make up the collar), work the remaining sts in stockinette sts with 3 sts in garter st at the edge, 79-80-85-86-91-93 sts on needle. On next row (= WS) work 3 sts in garter st, then P the next 36-37-38-39-40-42 sts, continue with rib K 1, P 1 over the remaining 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts, beg with K 1. Continue like this until piece measures 75-77-79-81-83-85 cm / 29½''-30 3/8''-31''-32''-32¾''-33½'', finish with 1 row from RS. On next row bind off the first 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts, work the rest of row, 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts remain for collar. Continue to work with short rows for collar over the remaining sts as follows: (1st row = RS) * Work rib 1 time back and forth over the 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts towards mid front, work rib 1 time back and forth over all sts *, repeat from *-* until collar measures approx. 7½-7½-8½-8½-9-9 cm / 2 7/8"-2 7/8"-3 1/4"-3 1/4"-3½"-3½" (measured on the shortest side) from where the shoulder was bind off. Bind off. Now the first part is finished.

Second part: Beg from RS. Slip the sts on the stitch holder back on needle and knit up 1 st in every collar st from the back of right front piece = 79-80-85-86-91-93 sts on needle On next row (= WS) work rib P 1, K 1 over the first 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts, beg with P 1. Then work the next 36-37-38-39-40-42 sts in stockinette st (P from WS, K from RS) and finish with 3 sts in garter st. Continue like this until piece measures 75-77-79-81-83-85 cm / 29½''-30 3/8''-31''-32''-32¾''-33½'', finish with 1 row from WS. On next row bind off the first 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts, work the rest of row, 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts remain for collar. Continue to work with short rows for collar as follows: (1st row = WS) * Work rib 1 time back and forth over the 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts towards mid front, work rib 1 time back and forth over all sts *, repeat from *-* until collar measures approx. 7½-7½-8½-8½-9-9 cm / 2 7/8"-2 7/8"-3 1/4"-3 1/4"-3½"-3½" (measured on the shortest side) from where the shoulder was bind off. Bind off.

DROPS Design 06.12.2018 kl. 11:52:

Buongiorno Mariangela.

Buon lavoro!

Evelyn Waddell 23.09.2018 - 00:24:

I need detailed instruction for neck area. The video was of little use.

DROPS Design 23.09.2018 kl. 23:10:

Dear evely, you can find th detailed instructions for the end of the text, under "Second part". Or please tell us, what exactly is not clear. Alo, please do not forget that you can always ask for help inperson at the store you bought your DROPS yarn from. Happy Knitting!

Sara 07.02.2016 - 20:30:

Hej!
