If the chart A2 for 6th row of yoke indicates 3ch, 1dc into chain space, 3ch & 1treble, then do I work the extra trebles as a group of 4 or 2tr, 2 ch, 2tr or insert a treble either side of the dc please? As I only have 2 repeats of A2 in which to increase 6 trebles between 7th & 6th markers I can't see anywhere else they could go.Where am I supposed to work a9 on this row please?I hadn't seen it mentioned in the instructions up until now & I've been working the piece flat.

Dear Dawn, the 6th row in A.2 is a tr row, 1st row in A.2 is the row with black square, then row 1 with (1dc, 3ch, 1tr, 3 ch), row 2 with (1 tr, 2 ch, 1 dc+2ch+1dc, 2 ch), row 3 with (1 dc, 3 tr+2ch+3tr), row 4 with (1 tr, 3ch, 1 dc, 3ch), row 5 with (3 tr in each ch-space), row 6 with 1 tr in each tr. You are not supposed to work A.9 (= showing how to beg and end rounds and not used under body). Happy crocheting!

Tack!

Sorry but I'm now even more confused than before your answer. As far as I can tell there is only 1 treble on 6th row of yoke on A2 & as I need 2 increase 6tr across 2 repeats of chart do I work 2x2 trebles with chain between where A2 shows 1 treble please?
07.07.2016 - 17:20DROPS Design answered:
Dear Dawn, there is no inc in diagram A.2 since all sizes won't have to inc evenly on this row, but in some sizes you will have to inc. To inc 3 tr over 3 repeats in A.2, work 2 tr in 1 tr on 3 places evenly spaced over the 3 repeats. Happy crocheting!

Sorry but I still don't understand how you are getting 30 trebles before the 8th marker on 6th row of yoke. Even though I've increased 3tr (1in each repeat of A2)I've only got 11 trebles between start of row & 8th marker.(5 trebles on row 6 in A3 & 3x2 trebles from A2).Please can you clarify where the other 19tr come from as I'm only seeing 1 tr in A2, 2 in A4, 5 from A3 + A1 + specified increases. I don't understand how this = 215 at the end of this row
07.07.2016 - 17:04DROPS Design answered:
Dear Dawn, on row 5 in A.2, you have after 8th marker: A.2 over 18 sts and A.9 over 9 sts = 27 sts. On next row = row 6 in A.2, work A.3 and inc evenly 3 sts over the 3 repeats of A.2 so that you have 27 sts + 3 inc = 30 tr. Then inc 6 tr between 7th and 6th marker + between 3rd and 2nd marker + inc 6 tr between 5th and 4th marker + inc 3 tr before 1st marker = you should have 215 tr at the end of this row with all inc between markers + those in A.4. Happy crocheting!

Still on 6th row of yoke, if I'm to increase 6tr between 7th & 6th marker do I work 4 tr where chart a2 shows 1tr as I've only got 2 repeats of a2 between these markers?

Dear Dawn, on 6th row in A.2 between 7th and 6th marker, inc 6 tr evenly, ie work 6 times 2 tr in same tr evenly spaced (repeat these inc between 3rd and 2nd marker). Happy crocheting!

On row 6 of yoke the written instructions state that there should be 30tr before 8th marker but I've only got 11 including the 5 from a3 & 3 increased ones (1 in each repeat of a2).I don't understand how to get to the stated numbers when chart a2 only seems to show 1 tr in each repeat on this row

Dear Dawn, on 6th row in A.2 (= from WS), you work A.3 first then repeat A.2 a total of 3 times while inc 3 sts evenly => 30 sts before 8th marker. Inc crocheting 2 tr in 1 tr evenly a total of 3 times over the sts in A.2. Happy crocheting!

Dear Dawn, sorry I misread your question regarding to diagram, on this row, work 1 dc in each of the first 5 dc, then in next tr, work 1 dc, 2 ch, 1 dc, then 3 ch, 1 tr in dc. Happy crocheting!

Dear Dawn, crochet 1st row in diagram starting as explained under diagram text (black square), ie from the right towards the left from RS and from the left towards the right from WS. In size XL, A.1 is worked over 8 tr from previous row (= row with a star, each symbol on row with a star = 1 tr from previous row, start with 1st st at the right side - where black square is: 3ch, 5 tr, 3 ch, skip next 2 tr.
