Hi, I just found this website last night so could you tell me please, How do I find out what the sizes (s m l, etc) relate to in measurements? Thanks
17.01.2016 - 13:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Persall, you will find a measurement chart with all measurements taken flat from side to side at the bottom of the pattern - compare these to a similar garment you have and like the shape to find out the matching size. Read more about this here. Happy crocheting!

After the 4 dc, do I chain one as I skip the next chain before starting the next 4 dc series?
04.05.2015 - 17:44DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Zoern-Loga, on very first row on body, work as follows: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in next ch (= 2 dc) then *skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 4 ch* (= 4 dc), repeat from *-* ie continue skipping 1 ch before next 4 dc group, skip 1 ch and finish with 1 dc in each of the last 2 ch, you have 297-473 dc (see size) at the end of this row. Happy crocheting!

I still don't understand the beginning instructions. Even after reading the crochet info. Pattern says "1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in next ch *,skip one chain...1 dc in each of the next 4 ch* How does the crochet info fit into this? please help, I am totally confused!
04.05.2015 - 04:40DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Zoern-Loga, for 1st row, follow instructions (the first 3ch replace the first dc), then when working back and forth replace 1st dc with 3 ch (at beg of next rows). Happy crocheting!

I printed this pattern quite a while ago and the printed instructions say the first row are DC but now I see on the site instructions say tr. did the pattern change?
02.05.2015 - 02:07DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Zoern-Loga, make sure you have printed/checking correct language since Uk-English and US-English do have different crochet terminology - check also here. Happy crocheting!

What does it mean "piece crochet back and forth from mid front"?
02.05.2015 - 02:04DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Zoern-Loga, body is worked in one piece up to armholes, ie from bottom edge starting on right front piece from RS, then back piece and left front piece, turn at the end of each row. Continue then each piece separately. Happy crocheting!

Is there supposed to be a chain between the 4 double crochets at the start of the pattern? Or does one just skip a chain and do a double crochet in each of the next 4 chains? I hope that makes sense.
02.05.2015 - 01:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Zoern-Loga, replace 1st dc on each row with 1 dc, and first tr with 3 ch (see "Crochet Info" at the beg of pattern). Happy crocheting!

When piece measures 35-35-34-34-32-31 cm - NOTE! Less for the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulder- dec for sleeve cap each side on every row – see DECREASING TIP-2: 4 tr 1 time, 2 tr 3 times, 1 tr 0-0-1-2-4-6 times, then 2 tr each side until piece measures approx 41-42-42-43-43-44 cm, dec 4 tr each side 1 time, crochet 1 row on all sts, cut and fasten thread. Now make 6-6-6-7-7-7 buttonholes evenly distributed, place the top one 1 cm from neckline and the bottom one approx 15 cm from bottom edge. 1 buttonhole = replace 1 dc with 1 ch, on return row work 1 dc in ch. Continue with 1 dc in each dc until front band measures 4 cm, cut and fasten thread. Repeat on left front piece, but without buttonholes. Finally crochet 1 row with dc round neck, incl front bands, with light brown. POCKET: Crochet 23 ch (includes 3 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 4 mm and off-white.
