Dear Mrs Lugo, we do not have only one diagram for this shawl, only several, you start with A.1, then when A.1 is worked one time in height, you will work; A..2, A.3 and A.4 (from RS)/A.4, A.3 and A.2 from WS, reading diagrams from the left towards the right. You will read more about diagrams here, including how to read several diagrams consecutively on a same row . Happy crocheting!

Love this pattern, but having difficulty with your chart. Between the "motif's" last and next to last row, Is it 7 DC? Why not make Diagram/Chart in one whole section? I've had to restart three times because cannot get the count right. I will pay for a complete diagram.

Groetjes Marielle
16.01.2021 - 10:48DROPS Design answered:
Dag Marielle,
In telpatroon A.2 zie je dat de laatste toer van A.1 aangegeven is. Je begint A.2 bij de pijl en aan de eerste toer kan je zien in welke steken van A.1 gehaakt moet worden.

What is triangle shape meaning? chain stich? Thank you.
15.12.2020 - 20:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Truong, correct, the small triangle at the end of each row then at the beg to replace the first dc (US-terms) is a chain stitch - see 2nd symbol under diagram key. Happy crocheting!

I love this pattern, but I cannot understand charts. I’ve gone to the link shared and it’s still confusing to me. Is this pattern available in written form in USA terms anywhere?
15.08.2020 - 18:20DROPS Design answered:
Dear Rachel, this model is not available in written form, only in chart format (due to the little available space in the webpage). Therefore, we recommend reading the lesson: How to read crochet diagrams. You have the link available under the pattern.

Do you have this pattern in written (American English) form? I am not very good at reading charts. Thank you!

Dear Sylvia, you can edit this pattern into US-English to get the US-crochet-terminology (click on the scroll down menu below picture) - and you will find here how to read crochet diagrams. Happy crocheting!

Crocheted shawl in DROPS Sky. Piece is crocheted with lace pattern.
DROPS 211-23 |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work shawl from tip at the bottom and up while increasing in each side. SHAWL: Work 6 chain stitches with Sky on hook size 4 mm and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch made. Then work pattern back and forth as shown in diagram A.1. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When A.1 has been worked, work pattern as follows: Work A.2, A.3 and finish with A.4. Continue back and forth like this. When diagrams have been worked vertically, continue with pattern and increase in the sides. I.e. work A.2 and A.4 towards the sides as before and A.3 between side diagrams. Every time A.2 to A.4 is worked vertically, there is room for 2 more repetitions of A.3 between side diagrams. Continue like this until piece measures approx. 69 cm from tip and up – or desired length - adjust to finish after one whole repetition vertically. When last repetition has been worked, work as follows: Work 8 chain stitches (= 4 chain stitches + 4 chain stitches to turn with), 1 treble crochet in each of the first 4 chain stitches worked, then work 1 treble crochet in every stitch along the top edge of shawl. Cut and fasten the yarn. |
