13.05.2020 - 12:27DROPS Design answered:
Liebe Steffi, fehlt nicht die 4 Blendmaschen in Ihre Frage? In L stricken Sie so: 4 Blende-M + 7 M glatt rechts (= Vorderteil), 5 M Raglan, 6 M Ärmel, 5 M Raglan, 14 M Rückenteil, 5 M Raglan, 6 Maschen Ärmel, 5 M Raglan, 7 M glatt rechts + 4 Blenden-M = 4+7+5+6+5+14+5+6+5+7+4=68 M. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

Knitted jacket with raglan in DROPS Andes. Piece is knitted top down with pockets. Size: S - XXXL

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch on each side of 5 stitches in stocking stitch (raglan line) in every transition between body and sleeves (= 8 stitches increased on round). Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over. On next row purl the yarn overs (= holes). Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. INCREASE TIP (evenly): To calculate how to increase evenly, use the total number of stitches on row (e.g. 112 stitches), minus bands (e.g. 8 stitches) and divide the remaining stitches by number of increases to be done (e.g. 20) = 5.2. In this example increase by making 1 yarn over after approx. every 5th stitch. On next row/round work yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. CAST OFF TIP: To avoid a tight cast-off edge you may use a needle ½ size larger. DECREASE TIP (applies to sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread as follows: Work until 3 stitches remain before marker thread and knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread is between these stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked. BUTTONHOLES: Decrease for buttonholes on right band (when garment is worn). Decrease from right side when 3 stitches remain on row as follows: Make 1 yarn over, knit the next 2 stitches together, knit last stitch. On next row knit yarn over to make holes. Decrease first buttonhole when rib in neck measures approx. 1½-2 cm. Then decrease the next 5-5-6-6-6-6 buttonholes, approx. 9-9-8-8½-8½-9 cm between each. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JACKET - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work neck edge, yoke and body back and forth on circular needle from mid front, work top down. Work sleeves in the round on double pointed needles/a short circular needle, top down. Work pockets back and forth on circular needle. NECK EDGE: Cast on 60-63-66-66-72-75 stitches (including 4 band stitches in each side towards mid front) on circular needle size 7 mm with Andes. Purl 1 row from wrong side. Then work as follows from right side: 4 band stitches in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above - * knit 1, purl 2 *, repeat from *-* until 5 stitches remain, knit 1 and finish with 4 band stitches in garter stitch. Work rib like this for 4 cm – remember BUTTONHOLES on right band – see explanation above. Purl 1 row from wrong side while increasing 0-1-2-2-4-1 stitches evenly (do not increase over band stitches) = 60-64-68-68-76-76 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 8 mm. Then work yoke as explained below. NOW MEASURE THE PIECE FROM HERE! YOKE: Work first row as follows from right side: 4 band stitches in garter stitch, work 5-6-7-7-9-9 stitches in stocking stitch (= front piece), make 1 yarn over, work 5 stitches in stocking stitch (= raglan line), make 1 yarn over, work 6 stitches in stocking stitch (= sleeve), make 1 yarn over, work 5 stitches in stocking stitch (= raglan line), make 1 yarn over, work 10-12-14-14-18-18 stitches in stocking stitch (= back piece), make 1 yarn over, work 5 stitches in stocking stitch (= raglan line), make 1 yarn over, work 6 stitches in stocking stitch (= sleeve), make 1 yarn over, work 5 stitches in stocking stitch (= raglan line), make 1 yarn over, work 5-6-7-7-9-9 stitches in stocking stitch and finish with 4 band stitches in garter stitch (= front piece). First increase for RAGLAN - read explanation above, is now done. Continue with stocking stitch with 4 band stitches in garter stitch in each side towards mid front and continue increase for raglan in every transition between body and sleeves. Increase like this every other row (i.e. on every row from right side) until increase has been done 14-16-17-19-19-21 times in total on each side of every raglan line - REMEMBER KNITTING TENSION! After last increase there are 172-192-204-220-228-244 stitches on needle. Continue to work without increases until piece measures 20-22-23-25-27-29 cm from after neck edge, but to make the eyelet row continue along raglan line after increases are done work A.1 in every transition between body and sleeves until yoke is done (the middle 5 stitches = raglan line). Work next row as follows from right side: Knit 27-30-32-35-37-40 (= front piece), slip the next 36-40-42-44-44-46 stitches on 1 stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 6-6-6-6-8-8 new stitches on row (= in the side under sleeve), knit 46-52-56-62-66-72 (= back piece), slip the next 36-40-42-44-44-46 stitches on 1 stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 6-6-6-6-8-8 new stitches on row (= in the side under sleeve) and knit the last 27-30-32-35-37-40 stitches as before (= front piece). NOW MEASURE THE PIECE FROM HERE! BODY: = 112-124-132-144-156-168 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch and 5 band stitches in garter stitch in each side (work first row from wrong side). When piece measures 24-24-25-25-25-25 cm from division, knit 1 row from right side while increasing 20-23-24-27-30-33 stitches evenly - read INCREASE TIP = 132-147-156-171-186-201 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 7 mm. Work next row as follows from wrong side: 4 band stitches in garter stitch, * purl 1, knit 2 *, repeat from *-* until 5 stitches remain on needle, purl 1 and finish with 4 band stitches in garter stitch. Continue rib like this for 4 cm. Loosely cast off stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl - read CAST OFF TIP. SLEEVE: Slip the 36-40-42-44-44-46 stitches from stitch holder in one side of piece on a short circular needle size 8 mm and pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-6-6-8-8 new stitches cast on in the side under sleeve = 42-46-48-50-52-54 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in the middle of the 6-6-6-6-8-8 stitches under sleeve and begin round here. Work in stocking stitch in the round. When piece measures 2 cm, decrease 2 stitches mid under sleeve - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every other round 2 times in total = 38-42-44-46-48-50 stitches. Then decrease like this every 7-4½-4½-3½-3-3 cm 5-7-7-8-8-8 times in total = 28-28-30-30-32-34 stitches. Work until piece measures 38-36-36-34-32-31 cm from division (or desired length, approx. 5 cm remain until finished measurements- NOTE: Shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider neck and longer yoke). Knit 1 round while increasing 5-5-6-6-7-8 stitches evenly = 33-33-36-36-39-42 stitches. Switch to double pointed needles size 7 mm and work rib in the round = knit 1/purl 2 for 5 cm. Loosely cast off stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl. Work the other sleeve the same way. POCKET: Cast on 24-26-27-28-30-31 stitches (including 1 edge stitch in each side) on circular needle size 8 mm with Andes. Work stocking stitch back and forth with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side until piece measures 10-10-11-11-12-12 cm. Switch to circular needle size 7 mm and work 2 ridges, start from wrong side. Cast off by knitting from wrong side. Work the other pocket the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the buttons on to the left band. Fasten pockets inside 1 edge stitch in garter stitch and sew bottom edge with grafting/kitchener stitches - fasten so that pocket begins in middle of the side of jacket and then edge to edge with rib at the bottom. |
