Bon tricot!

Is the diagram correct? The photo shows a wave pattern. The diagram does not. Thank you.
25.07.2019 - 13:10DROPS Design answered:
Dear Elisa, yes, diagram is correct - this pattern is not common wave patt. with YOs, but structural one, with purled stitches. Please see more detailed picture (under the main picture). Happy knitting!

Question. Diagram does not show wave in the pattern as in the photo. Is there another diagram?
25.07.2019 - 13:06DROPS Design answered:
Dear Elisa, pattern on the shawl is kind of zig-zag pattern, not common wave with YOs. So the diagram is correct for this pattern. See more detailed picture (under the main picture). Happy knitting!

Thanks for the reply. That’s what I have been doing and it still looks like holes or much larger stitches along the edge - is this normal or what am I doing wrong?
19.04.2019 - 00:08DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kitty, to have a small hole is kind of normal. You can help it if you try to do the yarnover slightly thighter than usual, i.e pull the yarn back a little. Happy Knitting!

Hi there, I’m struggling to understand the A1 chart. As there are YO one stitch from either end of the rows, when these are being worked on the following row (just after/before next YO) will some be knitted into the back and others purled into the back? This is my first time using a chart and it still looks like I have holes or missed stitches when I do this? Thanks
18.04.2019 - 23:12DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kitty, the yarnovers are knitted twisted (knit or purled through the back loop) in the next row, so there will be no hole on their places. I jope this helps. Happy Knitting!

12.01.2019 - 09:08DROPS Design answered:
Liebe Berit, bei der 1. Reihe in A.2 nehmen Sie 2 Maschen zu (= 1 Randmasche, 1 Umschlag, 1 M li, 1 Umschlag, 6 M li), und am Ende A.4 nehmen Sie auch 2 Maschen zu: 1 M re, 6 M li, 1 Umschlag, 1 M li, 1 Umschlag, 1 Randmasche) = 4 Maschen werden bei der 1. Reihe A.2/A.4 zugenommen, dann nehmen Sie nur 1 Masche in je A.2/A.4 (= 2 Zunahmen pro Reihe) und bei der 13. Reihe nehmen Sie wieder 2 Maschen in A.2/A.4 = 4 Zunahmen = 65 M wenn Diagramme fertig sind. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

INFORMATION FOR PATTERN: GARTER STITCH (back and forth): 1 ridge = knit 2 rows. PATTERN: Shawl: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. Wrist warmers: See diagram A.5. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side. Choose diagram for your size. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: Work back and forth on circular needle from tip mid front and up towards neck. Cast on 3 stitches on circular needle size 8 mm with Air. Purl 1 row from wrong side. Work A.1 - read PATTERN above. When A.1 has been worked, there are 33 stitches on row. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Then work pattern as follows: Work A.2 (= 8 stitches), work A.3 (= 16 stitches), work A.4 (= 9 stitches). When entire diagrams A.2 to A.4 have been worked vertically, there are 65 stitches on row. Then work as follows: Work A.2 (= 8 stitches), work A.3 (= 16 stitches) 3 times in total in width, work A.4 (= 9 stitches). When entire diagrams A.2 to A.4 have been worked vertically, there are 97 stitches on row. Then repeat A.2 to A.4 with increases - i.e. every time A.2 to A.4 have been worked vertically, work 2 more repetitions of A.3 in width. Continue like this until piece measures 44 cm in the middle. Work 2 ridges in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above, cast off with yarn overs - i.e. make 1 yarn over after every 5th stitch (cast off yarn over as stitch). ---------------------------------------------------------- WRIST WARMER: Work piece back and forth on needle. Cast on 30-34 stitches (including 1 edge stitch in each side) on needle size 5 mm with Air. Work 2 ridges in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above. Then work pattern as follows: Work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, work A.5 (= 14-16 stitches) 2 times in total in width - read PATTERN above, work 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue until piece measures 21-22 cm. Work 2 ridges. Cast off with double yarn. Sew together inside 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Knit another wrist warmer the same way. |
