Thanks for reply. One more question do you have to knit cable in between shortened rows like or you have to follow the pattern M2 when the pattern says one row on all stitches. And also you have to follow M2 while you are shortening the rows. Thanks
16.12.2024 - 00:02DROPS Design answered:
Dear Amy, both M.2 will grow a different way, cables will be worked only on rows worked over these stitches, so when you work the stitches of M.2, this count as 1 row in M.2 , make sure you will cross the stitches as shown in M.2 in every 4th row worked over the stitches in M.2. Happy knitting!

Hi It’s a beautiful neck warmer trying to make it from few does but confused and keep forgetting the number of rows it’s hard to remember which row you were in because the cable knitting on the neck and the bottom is not at the same time is there an easy way to remember the rows on both side. Thanks
14.12.2024 - 01:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Amy, to keep track of rows we recommend using markers. Place a marker as you finish one cable and you simply count the number of rows necessary to reach the next cable. Move the marker to after this cable and repeat. You can use different color markers for different cables or patterns. Happy knitting!

16.10.2024 - 13:21DROPS Design answered:
Dag Nel,

I need help with understanding the short rows for the hat. When do I start the short rows. Is it on the very first row and exactly which stitch do I start with.
08.11.2022 - 02:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Joss, you will have to work the established pattern and short rows at the same time, start from the right side and work 2 rows over 2 sts, 2 rows over the first 36-40 sts (work the first 36-40 sts from RS, turn and work return row); 2 rows over 34-38 sts (work the first 34-38 sts from RS, turn and work return row), 2 rows over 31-35 sts (work the first 31-35 sts from RS, turn and work return row). Repeat these 8 rows - you will have worked 8 rows over the bottom stitches (including all stitches M.1), and only 2 rows over the top sts (towards the bottom of hat). Happy knitting!
