Thank you for your timely response. I was not clear in my question. After i have decreased to the 50 stitches i look and the pattern and it is only 30... i don't understand how it all lines up if you have 50 stitches and the pattern only shows 30... if it knit yarn over knit 3 and the slip think two together and psso do you do that 10 times?

Dear Mary Anne, as you may notice, M.1 has 3 repeats of a motif of 10 stitches. Since you have 50 stitches, you'd need to work 5 repeats in total of the 10 stitch motif (that is, work the 30 stitches of M.1 and repeat the first 20 stitches of M.1). Happy knitting!

Dear Mrs Crookes, work this row: K 5, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso (= 2 sts decreased), *K 9, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso*, repeat *-* 3 more (will be added in the pattern) times (=2 sts decreased 4 times = 8 sts decreased) and finish with K 4. You have decreased (= 2 + 8) 10 sts = 50 sts. Happy knitting!

06.11.2021 - 16:05DROPS Design answered:
Hei Karina.

Hello, I was wondering if circular needles could be used instead of double pointed for this pattern?
24.11.2020 - 20:38DROPS Design answered:
Dear Emer, due to the pattern having so few stitches, to be able to comfortably knit, it's recommended to use double pointed needles. You could use 2 sets of circular needles, if you don't wish to use double pointed needles.

06.01.2016 - 21:50DROPS Design answered:

Pattern: See diagram (pattern 1 and 2) below. The pattern is seen from the right side. Wristwarmer: Cast on 60 sts evenly distributed on double-pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 4 rows garter st. Establish pattern on the next row as follows: K 5, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso, *K 9, sl 1, K 2 tog, psso*, repeat *-* 3 more times and finish with K 4. You have decreased 10 sts = 50 sts. K 1 row, then knit Pattern 1. When the piece measures 20 cm – adjust to end after 1 entire repeat – knit Pattern 2 and then cast off all sts. The piece measures approx. 21 cm. Knit a second wristwarmer. |
