The colours in the chart are translated to Dutch above the chart. The chart uses symbols to indicate the right colours. This is an old pattern and unfortunately, no other pictures are available.

Knitting Tension: 21 sts x 28 rows on needles size 3.5 mm in stocking st = 10x10cm. Pattern: See diagram (1 diagram = 1 repeat). Pattern is seen from RS. Pattern knitted in stocking st throughout. Erme = Sleeve Bol= Body Mnd= Months År= Years Rib: K1, P1. Back and Front knitted as one piece in the round, then divided at armhole and back and front knitted separately. BODY Cast on 106-114-122 (126-130) sts on long circular needles size 2.5mm with colour no 1. Knit 3-3-3 (4-4) cm rib. Change to circular needle size 3.5mm and following diagram (start at the arrow (be sure to place pattern repeat centre front) and at the same time inc 2-6-10 (18-26) sts evenly on first round = 108-120-132 (144-156) sts. Remember to check your tension. Continue until piece measures 16-16-16 (21-18) cm. Divide the work and knit the back and front separately. Front: = 54-60-66 (72-78) sts. Continue in pattern M1 on these sts. Knitting back and forth on circular needles. Continue until piece measures 24-25-26 (32-33) cm. Cast off centre 12-14-15 (18-22) sts for neck opening. Work each side separately. Right shoulder: Dec at neck edge on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2sts 1 time, 1st 2 times. Continue until piece measures 28-29-30 (36-37) cm. Cast off remaining 14-16-18 (20-21) sts for shoulder. Left shoulder: Dec at neck edge on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time. Continue until piece measures 27-28-29 (35-36) cm (or to fit pattern repeat). Change to needles size 2.5 mm and off white and knit 3 cm rib, after 3 rows make 2 buttonholes evenly spaced over sts – 1 button hole = cast off 2 sts, cast on 2 new sts on the following row. Continue until rib measures 3 cm. Cast off remaining 16-18-20 (22-23) sts for shoulder. Back: = 54-60-66 (72-78) sts. Knit pattern M1 as front. Continue until piece measures 27-28-29 (35-36) cm. Cast off centre 22-24-26 (28-32) sts for neck and knit each side separately. Right shoulder: Dec 2 sts on neck edge on next row. Continue until piece measures 28-29-30 (36-37) cm. Cast off remaining 14-16-18 (20-21) sts for shoulder (finish pattern repeat to match front). Left shoulder: Continue until piece measures 27-28-29 (35-36) cm. Change to needle size 2.5mm and off white and work 3 cm rib. Then cast off remaining 16-18-20 (22-23) sts for shoulder. SLEEVES Cast on 34-34-36 (36-36) sts on short circular needle size 2.5mm with colour no.1. Knit 2-2-3 (3-3) cm rib. Change to needles size 3.5mm and continue in pattern M1 (start at the arrow (be sure to place pattern repeat on centre of top of sleeve), at the same time inc 0-4-6 (6-10) sts evenly on first round = 34-38-42 (42-46) sts. At the same time inc sts under the sleeve as follows, 2 sts 8-8-8 (11-17) times. For 3 months: alternate every 3rd and 4th round, 6/9 months: alternate every 5th, 5th and 6th round. 12/18 months: alternate every 5th and 6th round, 2 years: every 4th round, 3 years: every 3rd round = 50-54-58 (64-80) sts. Continue until piece measures 13-18-20 (21-24) cm. Cast off centre 6 sts under sleeve. Dec each side on every other row as follows: 4 sts 2-2-2 (4-4) times. Cast off remaining sts. Piece measures approx 15-20-22 (24-27) cm. (adjust to pattern repeat). ASSEMBLY Sew shoulder seams. Pick up 76 sts around neck opening with needles size 2.5mm and col no 1. Knit 2 cm rib back and forth on needles, at the same time after 2 rows, make 1 buttonhole over the others. Sew in the sleeves. Sew in buttons. __________________________________________________ SOCKS Size: 3 (6/9 - 9/12) months. Needles: DROPS double pointed needles size 2.5mm and 3.5mm Rib: K1, P1. Moss stitch: 1st row: K1, P1. 2nd row: P over K and K over P. Repeat 1st and 2nd row. Tension: 22 sts = 10 cm in stocking st on needle size 3.5 mm. SOCK Cast on 30 (34-38) sts on needles size 2.5mm. Knit in the round 5 (6-6) cm in rib. Change to needle size 3.5mm. Knit 2 rounds in stocking st then work next round as follows: *k2 tog, yo* . Remember to check your tension. Knit 1 round stocking st. Continue as follows: Work on the top 8(10-10) sts, and leave rest on a holder or thread. Work 4 (5-5) cm in stocking st. Pick up approx. 50 (58-62) sts in a round (incl. the sts on holder and the 8 (10-10) sts.) Knit 1 round stocking st. Knit 1.5 (1.5-2) cm moss st then 1 round P. Next cast off all but the top 8 (10-10) sts. Work 9 (10-11) cm in either moss st or stocking st for sole on these sts. Cast off and sew the sole to the sock. Thread a ribbon through the row of holes at top. |
