Deear Mrs Wadhams, pattern is correct, on left side the rib will pull together the shoulder piece, so you should not dec as much for neck cause then the shoulder becomes to narrow. Happy knitting!

Continue until piece measures 18-22 (24-26) cm. Cast off. ASSEMBLY Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 76-86 sts around neck opening with needles size 2.5mm with cream. Work 2 cm in rib and at the same time after 1 cm make button hole. Cast off. Sew sleeves to body in edge st to avoid seams being too bulky. Dec 1 st 3 times each side of rib = 38-40 (42-42) sts. Continue until foot measures 8-8.5 (9.5-11.5) cm (measured from start of heel dec). Put a st marker or thread each side of rib. Dec for toes each side of marker on every row (4 dec in all) 1 st 7-8 (8-8) times = 10-8 (10-10) sts. Pull thread through remaining sts and fasten. |
