I can't understand the numbers, for size L cast on 96 s but 2 (A1)+20 (A2)+3+20 (A2)+4 (A3)+20 (A2)+ 3+20 (A2) + 2 (A4) is 94... where is the mistake?

Dear Paula. We have sent your question to the Design department to check for mistakes. Once we have an answer we´ll correct the pattern.

Hej!

Is there a full written pattern please, that doesn't use charts. I'm unable to read charts and I would so like to make this jumper.
15.11.2019 - 16:18DROPS Design answered:
Dear Anne, we are sorry but we do not have the written iut directions for the pattern. However we urge you to put a little effor and learn how to make sense of charts as they not only tell you wha ia the next step in your knitting, but yyou can see your stitches AND rows in relation to each other. We do have a lesson in how to read charts here, and you can always ask for help in person in the store you bought your yarn from. Happy Knitting!

Knitted jumper with raglan in DROPS Nepal. Piece is knitted top down with cables. Size: S - XXXL
DROPS 206-27 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.6. Choose diagram for your size. A.4 does not apply to size S. RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch on each side of every repetition of A.5 (= 8 stitches increased on round). Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over. On next round knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP (applies to sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread as follows: Work until 3 stitches remain before marker thread and knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread is between these stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked (= 2 stitches decreased). INCREASE TIP (evenly): To calculate how to increase evenly, count the stitches to be increased (e.g. 19 stitches) and divide this number by stitches of increases to be done (e.g. 6) = 3.1. In this example increase by making 1 yarn over after approx. every 3rd stitch. On next round work yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Piece is worked in the round on circular needle, top down from mid back. Work sleeves in the round on double pointed needles/a short circular needle, top down. NECK EDGE: Cast on 88-94-94-102-102-110 stitches on circular needle size 4.5 mm with Nepal. Knit 1 round, then work rib as follows: Work A.1 (= 1-2-2-4-4-6 stitches), work A.2 (= 20 stitches), knit 3, work A.2 (= 20 stitches), work A.3 (= 1-4-4-8-8-12 stitches), work A.2 (= 20 stitches), knit 3, work A.2 (= 20 stitches), work A.4 (= 0-2-2-4-4-6 stitches). Continue in the round like this until the diagrams have been worked vertically. On the last round in A.1, A.2, A.3 and A.4 stitches have been increased and decreased - as shown in diagrams = 104-108-112-116-120-124 stitches on needle. YOKE: Switch to circular needle size 5.5 mm. Work next round as follows: Knit 1-2-3-4-5-6, work A.5 (= 24 stitches) over A.2 (= left back piece), * 1 yarn over, knit 1, *, work from *-* 3 times in total, 1 yarn over (= 7 stitches sleeve), work A.5 * (= 24 stitches) over A.2, knit 1-3-5-7-9-11 (= mid front), and work A.5 (= 24 stitches) over A.2 (= front piece), * 1 yarn over, knit 1 *, work from *-* 3 times in total, 1 yarn over (= 7 stitches sleeve), work A.5 (= 24 stitches) over A.2, knit 0-1-2-3-4-5 (= half back piece). Work 1 round in pattern, knit the 4 yarn overs over each sleeve twisted to avoid holes = 112-116-120-124-128-132 stitches on round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Now continue with A.5 and stocking stitch over the remaining stitches, AT THE SAME TIME on first round increase 1 stitch on each side of every A.5 for RAGLAN – read explanation above. Increase like this every other round 18-20-22-25-27-31 times in total = 256-276-296-324-344-380 stitches. Now continue the increase for raglan, but only on the sleeves 4-4-3-2-1-0 more times (i.e, increase 22-24-25-27-28-31 times in each side of the sleeves), work the remaining stitches in pattern as before. When all increases are done there are 272-292-308-332-348-380 stitches on row. Piece measures approx. 25-27-28-30-31-34 cm from cast-on edge and down mid front. Work as before but without increases until piece measures 26-28-29-31-33-35 cm from cast-on edge and down mid front. Work next round as follows: Work the first 43-46-49-53-56-61 stitches (= half back piece), slip the next 51-55-57-61-63-69 stitches on a stitch holder (= sleeve), cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeve), work the next 85-91-97-105-111-121 stitches (= front piece), slip the next 51-55-57-61-63-69 stitches on a stitch holder (= sleeve), cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeve), work the remaining 42-45-48-52-55-60 stitches (= half back piece). NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! BODY: There are now 182-194-210-226-242-262 stitches for body. Continue in the round with A.5 as before and in stocking stitch over the remaining stitches. When piece measures 26-26-27-27-27-27 cm from division – adjust to finish after a whole repetition of A.5 vertically, work until first repeat of A.5 on the round. Insert a marker here. This is now the beginning of round. Work next round as follows: * Work A.6 (= 24 stitches) over A.5, knit over the next 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches and increase AT THE SAME TIME 2-2-0-0-2-2 stitches evenly, work A.6 (= 24 stitches) over A.5, knit over the next 37-43-49-57-63-73 stitches and increase AT THE SAME TIME 11-9-11-15-17-19 stitches evenly *, work from *-* 1 more time on round. When A.6 has been worked there is 192-200-216-240-264-288 stitches on round. Change to circular needle size 4,5. Work rib (= knit 2 / purl 2) in the round – begin with knit 1, so that the rib fits with knit over knit and purl over purl over the stitches in A.6. When rib measures 4 cm, cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Jumper measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm from shoulder and down. SLEEVE: Slip the 51-55-57-61-63-69 stitches on stitch holder in one side back on a circular needle/double pointed needles size 5.5 mm and pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches cast on under sleeves = 57-61-65-69-73-79 stitches. Insert a marker thread in the middle of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches under sleeve (= 3-3-4-4-5-5 new stitches on each side of marker thread). Work in stocking stitch in the round. When sleeve measures 4 cm from division, decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread under sleeve - read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this approx. every 2½-2-2-1½-1½-1 cm 11-12-13-14-16-18 times in total = 35-37-39-41-41-43 stitches. Work until sleeve measures 35-34-33-31-30-28 cm (or desired measurements, approx. 4 cm remain until finished measurements- NOTE: Shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider neck and longer yoke). On next round increase 5-7-5-7-7-9 stitches evenly = 40-44-44-48-48-52 stitches. Switch to double pointed needles size 4.5 mm. Work rib (knit 2/purl 2) in the round for 4 cm. Cast off stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl. Sleeve measures approx. 39-38-37-35-34-32 cm. Work the other sleeve the same way. |
