GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. INCREASING TIP (front piece): Inc 1 st towards mid front inside 5 front band sts by making 1 YO. Work YO into back of loop on return row to avoid a hole. DECREASING TIP (neckline): Make all dec from RS. Dec as follows after 5 garter sts: slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso Dec as follows before 5 garter sts: K2 tog. BACK PIECE: Cast on 58-64-70-78-88-98 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 5 mm with 1 thread Kid-Silk + 1 thread light purple Cotton Viscose (= 2 threads). Work 4 rows stocking st (first row = RS), change to 1 thread Kid-Silk and 1 thread light pink Cotton Viscose. K 1 row from RS, K 1 row from WS, 5 rows stocking st and K 1 row from WS. Continue in stocking st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 6 cm inc 1 st each side and repeat the inc on every 2-2-2.5-2.5-3-3 cm a total of 5 times = 68-74-80-88-98-108 sts. When piece measures 18-19-20-21-22-23 cm cast off for armhole each side at the beg of every row: 3 sts 1-1-1-1-2-3 times, 2 sts 0-1-1-2-3-3 times and 1 st 1-1-3-4-3-4 times = 60-62-64-66-68-70 sts. When piece measures 33-35-37-39-41-43 cm work 4 rows garter st – see above – on 26-26-28-28-30-30 sts mid back (work remaining sts as before). Now cast off the middle 16-16-18-18-20-20 sts for neck = 22-23-23-24-24-25 sts left on each shoulder. Complete each shoulder separately with 5 garter sts towards neckline and cast off when piece measures 36-38-40-42-44-46 cm. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: Cast on 22-25-27-31-35-40 sts (includes 1 edge st at the side and 5 front band sts towards mid front) on needle size 5 mm with 1 thread Kid-Silk + 1 thread purple Cotton Viscose. Continue as described for back piece, but with 5 front band sts towards mid front in garter st. After 2 rows inc 1 st towards mid front – SEE INCREASING TIP – and repeat the inc on every other row a total of 12-12-13-13-14-14 times – work inc sts in stocking st. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 6 cm inc at the side as described for back piece. When inc towards mid front are complete continue for 1 cm, then make 1 buttonhole from RS as follows: K tog 3rd and 4th st from mid front and make 1 YO. After inc at the side are complete there are 39-42-45-49-54-59 sts on row and piece measures approx 14-14-16-16-18-18 cm. Now work 2 rows garter st back and forth on the 5 front band sts only, and then continue on all sts. On next row from RS dec 1 st to shape the neckline – SEE DECREASING TIP - on every row from mid front a total of 4 times and then on every other row from mid front a total of 9-9-10-10-11-11 times. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 18-19-20-21-22-23 cm cast off for armhole at the side as described for back piece. When all dec for armhole and neckline are complete there are 22-23-23-24-24-25 sts left on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 36-38-40-42-44-46 cm. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Like right front piece, but mirrored and without buttonhole. SLEEVE: Cast on 44-46-48-50-52-54 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 5 mm with 1 thread Kid-Silk + 1 thread purple Cotton Viscose. Work 5 rows stocking st (first row = RS), K 1 row from WS, and work 4 rows stocking st. Change to 1 thread Kid-Silk + 1 thread light pink Cotton Viscose. K 1 row from RS,K 1 row from RS, K 1 row from WS, 5 rows stocking st, K 1 row from WS, 5 rows stocking st, K 1 row from WS and now continue in stocking st. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 15-15-14-14-14-13 cm inc 1 st each side on every 6-5-4.5-3.5-3-3 cm a total of 6-7-8-9-10-11 times = 56-60-64-68-72-76 sts. When piece measures 50-49-48-47-46-45 cm (less for the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulder) cast off for sleeve cap each side at the beg of every row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 1-2-3-4-5-6 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 56 cm, now cast off 3 sts each side 1 time and cast off remaining sts on next row. Piece measures approx 57 cm. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves and sew side and sleeve seams inside 1 edge st. Sew on button. PICOT BORDER: Crochet picot borders with Cotton Viscose and crochet hook size 3.5 mm in all P rows, along bottom edge of body piece and sleeves and round the front opening as follows: 1 border along bottom edge in light purple 1 border round the front opening in light purple 2 borders,1 in each P row at the bottom of body piece, in light pink 5 borders on sleeves, the 2 bottom ones in light purple and the other 3 in light pink. 1 picot border = 1 dc in first st, * 4 ch, 1 dc in first ch (= 1 picot), skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st *, repeat from *-*. (do not cut the thread after border along bottom edge, but continue along front piece, round neckline and along the other front piece). |
