Hello Julianne! There are two sizes: small/medium and large. Please also look at the garment measurements drawing under the pattern (cm). Hope it helps! Happy knitting!

Could you please confirm which size the male model is wearing? Is it the S/M or the M/L? Thanks and regards!
30.05.2023 - 13:18DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sandy, most of the time, the models are wearing size S/M, but remember to measure a similar garment you (or the person who will wear the jumper) have and like the shape and compare these measurements to the one in the chart. Read more about chart here. Happy knitting!

What does M.1, M.2, and M. 3 means? I am still a beginner and I am confused with these.
31.01.2022 - 16:58DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Diaz, these are the name of the pattern diagrams, ie M.1 = M.I = the bottom 10 rows in diagram; M.2 = M.II = the next 9 rows and M.3 = MIII = the last 5 rows. Read more about diagrams here. Happy knitting!

I am confused about how to add on the 110 st after completing the ribbing. It says to continue in M1 at the same time inc 110 st. How do I do this? And, what type of stitch increase should I use? Could I add the 110 st on the last row of ribbing and then start MI? Thank you
22.01.2022 - 00:47DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Solomon, this lesson explains how to increase evenly; you can use any increase technique you like. You probably can increase on the last row of ribbing, to start M.1 over the increased number of sts if it looks easier to you. Happy knitting!

I've just started this pattern and casted on the 160 stitches to start the ribbing. This looks too small to go around a waist. Am I reading this wrong?
17.01.2022 - 15:24DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Solomon, remember to check your tension, you should have 23 sts x 28 rows in M.1/20 sts x 28 rows in M.2 with needle size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm; you then start with ribbing edge on smaller needles, make sure your cast on edge is not too tight - and work ribbing edge with smaller needles (on this kind of pattern, the bottom edge is tightening piece together). Happy knitting!

Strikker nå på ermet, men skal det ikke være fletter under ermet? Skjønner ikke helt hva som menes her, virker som det bare skal være rettstrikking her (har tils 4 fletter), hilsen Kari
10.04.2019 - 14:01DROPS Design answered:
Hei Kari.

Dear Janet, we are unfortunately not able to adjust each pattern to each individual request, but you can check finished measurement in chart with a similar garment in the correct size to adjust size. Your DROPS store will provide you individual assistance. Happy knitting!

Pattern: See diagram. The diagram is seen from the RS. 1 square = 1 st x 1 row Rib: * K1 into back of loop, P1 *, repeat from *-*. Body: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 160-168 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm and work 5 cm rib. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and continue in M.1, at the same time inc 110-120 sts evenly on first round = 270-288 sts (15 cables for size S/M and 16 cables for size M/L). Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 34 cm divide the piece in 2 and complete front and back pieces separately. For size S/M, make sure to have a cable mid front, for size M/L, 8 cables on front piece and 8 cables on back piece. Front piece: = 135-144 sts. Continue in M.1. When piece measures 45-45 cm work M.2, and then complete piece in M.3. At the same time when piece measures 61-61 cm cast off the middle 45-46 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from mid front: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1 time. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 64-64 cm. Back piece: = 135-144 sts. Continue as described for front piece. When piece measures 63-63 cm cast off the middle 49-50 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off 1 st on neckline on next row and cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 64-64 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 42-44 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and work 5 cm rib. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and continue in M.1, at the same time inc 31-29 sts evenly on first round = 73-73 sts. At the same time after the rib inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 33 times on every *3rd and 4th * round alternately = 139-139 sts. Cast off when sleeve measures 51-50 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 110 sts around the neck on needle size 2.5 mm and work 3 cm rib, cast off. Set in sleeves. |
