Dec as follows before 3 edge sts: K2 tog. Measuring tips: Because of the weight of the yarn, all measurements should be made when garment is hanging. Front piece: Cast on 48-54-59-67-75 sts (inclusive of 1 edge st each side, edge sts are knitted in garter st throughout) on needle size 8 with Symphony. Knit 4 rows garter st and continue in stocking stitch. When piece measures 12 cm inc 1 st each side on every 8-8-9-12-12 cm a total of 3-3-3-2-2 times = 54-60-65-71-79 sts. Read all of the following section before continuing: V-neck: when piece measures 36-37-38-39-40 cm, cast off the middle 2-2-3-3-3 sts for neck. Dec on neckline on every 4th row 1 st a total of 3 times and then on every 6th row 1 st a total of 3-4-4-4-4 times. Armhole: At the same time, when piece measures 40-41-42-43-44 cm cast off 3 sts each side for armhole and dec 1 st each side on every other row – see dec tips – a total of 1-3-5-7-11 times. After all dec are complete there are 16-16-16-17-17 sts left on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 58-60-62-64-66 cm. Back piece: Cast on and knit as front piece without dec for V-neck. Cst off for armhole as described for front piece = 46-48-49-51-51 sts. When piece measures 56-58-60-62-64 cm cast off the middle 12-14-15-15-15 sts for neck and dec 1 st on each neck line on next row = 16-16-16-17-17 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 58-60-62-64-66 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 38-38-38-44-44 sts (inclusive of 1 edge st each side) using pointed needle size 8mm and Symphony. Purl 1 row from the wrong side and continue in Rib with 1 edge st each side. When piece measures 8 cm continue in stocking st, at the same time adjusting number of sts to 32-33-35-36-37 on first row after the Rib. When piece measures 14-14-14-15-15 cm inc 1 st each side on 8-6-5-4-3 cm a total of 5-6-7-8-10 times = 42-45-49-52-57 sts. When piece measures 49-48-48-47-46 cm cast off for sleeve cap each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1-1-1-2-2 times, 1 st 2-2-2-3-5 times, and 2 sts each side until piece measures 56-56-56-56-57 cm, now dec 3 sts each side and cast off on next row. Sleeve measures approx 57-57-57-57-58 cm Assembly: Sew shoulder seams and set in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams – make sure seams aren’t too tight. Neck border: Pick up approx 70-88 sts round the neck from the right side using circular needle 8mm and Symphony. Purl 1 row, knit 1 round whilst inc number of sts evenly on round to 90-90-90-96-96. Insert a marking thread on each shoulder. Knit Rib – see explanation above. When Rib measures 3 cm, inc all P3 to P4 between the marking threads at the back (i.e. do not increase at front piece). When Rib measures 6 cm inc all P4 to P5 between marking threads. When Rib measures 12 cm cast off in rib. Crochet border round neck: Crochet a round of ch-loops using hook size 4 and white Alpaca as follows: 1 dc in first knitted st, *3 ch, skip 1 knitted st, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in first dc from beginning of row. |
