Beste, Kunt u me even de beschrijving nader toelichten?

Hi, In ‘PATTERN’ raglan stitches are mentioned 5 times instead of 4.

Hi Mrs Mynahcharlie, you are right. I have already notified it. I think the last of them (in the back piece) should be deleted. Happy knitting!

Hello, there are a few things in this pattern that are not lining up with my actual work. I would really like to make this however I'm struggling. I have triple checked the pattern and my work and I think there are many mistakes in the written pattern.

Hi, you say to use needle 4mm to start knitting the neck and a little later to switch to needle size 4 mm. I checked in French and there it states to continue with size 4. My guess is that, considering the number of stitches, this is a mistake and I should start neck with size 3 ? Thank you for enlightening me.
25.03.2026 - 16:25DROPS Design answered:
Hi Mynahcharlie, Yes, the neck is worked with size 3 mm needles. Regards, Drops Team.

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.6. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side. RAGLAN: Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over. On next round work yarn overs as explained below: BEFORE RAGLAN STITCHES (= twist yarn over towards the right): Move yarn over from left needle to right needle purlwise, slip yarn over back on left needle by inserting left needle from behind in yarn over (yarn over is now twisted). Knit yarn over in loop in front of needle - to avoid holes. Work the new stitches in pattern. AFTER RAGLAN STITCHES (= twist yarn over towards the left): Knit yarn overs in loop behind the needle - to avoid holes. Work the new stitches in pattern. DECREASE TIP (applies to mid under sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker as follows: Work until 2 stitches remain before marker, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker is in between these 2 stitches) slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: In this pattern needles of different length have been used, begin with fitting length for number of stitches and switch as needed. Work neck edge and yoke in the round on circular needle from right shoulder at the back and work top down with increases for raglan and lace pattern. When yoke is done, divide piece for body and sleeves. Work body downwards in the round on circular needle while putting the sleeves aside. Then work sleeves downwards in the round on needle. If 0 stitches are given for the chosen size, it means that you skip the information and jump to next information. NECK EDGE: Cast on 112-112-120-120128-128-128 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm with DROPS Muskat. Work rib in the round (= knit 2/purl 2) for 3-3-3-4-4-4-4 cm. Beginning of round is at right shoulder at the back. Insert 1 marker after the first 41-41-43-43-45-45-45 stitches on round (= approx. mid front), measure piece from this marker. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and knit 1 round while inserting markers and increasing stitches evenly as follows: Knit 2 and insert 1 marker between these 2 stitches = raglan stitches. SLEEVE: Knit the next 22 stitches and increase 1 stitch = 23 stitches on sleeve. FRONT PIECE: Knit 2 and insert 1 marker between these 2 stitches (= raglan stitches), knit over the next 30-30-34-34-38-38-38 stitches and increase 3-5-3-3-1-1-3 stitches evenly (= 33-35-37-37-39-39-41 stitches on front piece), knit 2 and insert 1 marker between these 2 stitches (= raglan stitches). SLEEVE: Knit the next 22 stitches and increase 1 stitch = 23 stitches on sleeve. BACK PIECE: Knit 2 and insert 1 marker between these 2 stitches (= raglan stitches), knit over the next 30-30-34-34-38-38-38 stitches and increase 3-5-3-3-1-1-3 stitches evenly (= 33-35-37-37-39-39-41 stitches on back piece). There are 120-124-128-128-132-132-136 stitches on needle in total. YOKE: Now work pattern as explain below and increase for RAGLAN on each side of raglan stitches – read explanation above for increase method. Work pattern and increase for raglan at the same time, thus read the next two paragraphs (PATTERN and RAGLAN) before continuing. PATTERN: Knit 2 (= raglan stitches) SLEEVE: A.1, A.2, A.3 FRONT PIECE: Knit 2 (= raglan stitches), A.1. Work A.4 0-0-0-0-1-1-1 time, 2-3-4-4-2-2-3 stitches stocking stitch, A.5, 2-3-4-4-2-2-3 stitches stocking stitch, work A.6 0-0-0-0-1-1-1 time, A.3, knit 2 (= raglan stitches). SLEEVE: A.1, A.2, A.3 BACK PIECE: Knit 2 (= raglan stitches), A.1. Work A.4 0-0-0-0-1-1-1 time, 2-3-4-4-2-2-3 stitches stocking stitch, A.5, 2-3-4-4-2-2-3 stitches stocking stitch, work A.6 0-0-0-0-1-1-1 time, A.3, knit 2 (= raglan stitches). NOTE! A.1 and A.3 show diagrams when increasing on every other row. Increase on the sleeves on every 4th row, work the new stitches into pattern. RAGLAN: ROUND 1: Work in pattern as explained above, increase for raglan on each side of raglan stitches (= 8 stitches increased). ROUND 2: Work pattern (remember to work yarn over in raglan increases as explained in RAGLAN). Work 1st and 2nd ROUND 5-9-11-9-12-10-8 times in total (= 10-18-22-18-24-20-16 rounds worked) = 160-196-216-200-228-212-200 stitches on needle and the division is as follows: 33-41-45-41-47-43-39 stitches on each sleeve, 43-53-59-55-63-59-57 stitches on front piece/back piece, and 8 raglan stitches. Remember to follow the knitting tension! Then work and increase for raglan as follows: ROUND 1: Work pattern as before and increase for raglan on each side of raglan stitches (= 8 stitches increased). ROUND 2: Work pattern as before (remember to work yarn overs in raglan increases as explained in RAGLAN). ROUND 3: Work pattern as before and increase for raglan on front piece and back piece, i.e. increase after 2nd and 4th marker and before 3rd and 1st marker - do not increase stitches on sleeves (= 4 stitches increased). ROUND 4: Work pattern as before. Work 1st to 4th ROUND 12-11-11-14-14-18-21 times in total (= 48-44-44-56-56-72-84 rounds worked = 12-11-11-14-14-18-21 increases on sleeves and 24-22-22-28-28-36-42 increases on front piece/back piece). All increases for raglan are done; 29-31-33-37-40-46-50 increases have been done in total on front pieces/back piece and 17-20-22-23-26-28-29 increases in total on sleeves. There are 304-328-348-368-396-428-452 stitches on needle, and the stitches are divided as follows: 57-63-67-69-75-79-81 stitches on each sleeve, 91-97-103-111-119-131-141 stitches on front piece/back piece and 8 raglan stitches. Work pattern as before without increase until piece measures 21-23-24-27-29-33-36 cm from marker mid front. Now divide yoke for body and sleeves. DIVIDING FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: Work as follows from right side: Work and keep the first stitch on needle (= belongs to back piece), slip the next 59-65-69-71-77-81-83 stitches on a thread for sleeve, cast on 8-10-12-14-16-16-18 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve), work pattern as before over the next 93-99-105-113-121-133-143 stitches (= front piece), slip the next 59-65-69-71-77-81-83 stitches on a thread for sleeve, cast on 8-10-12-14-16-16-18 new stitches on needle (= in the side mid under sleeve), and work pattern as before over the next 92-98-104-112-120-132-142 stitches (= back piece). BODY: = 202-218-234-254-274-298-322 stitches. Continue with pattern as before. The pattern will not fit in the side under sleeves but work pattern so that it continues over pattern from yoke and as far in as possible to the side mid under sleeves. Work until piece measures 41-43-45-47-48-50-52 cm from marker mid front. Switch to circular needles size 3 mm, work rib (= knit 2/purl 2) while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 18-22-22-26-26-30-30 stitches evenly on 1st round = 220-240-256-280-300-328-352 stitches. When rib measures 4-4-4-4-5-5-5 cm cast off. Jumper measures 45-47-49-51-53-55-57 cm from marker mid front and approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60-62 cm from the top of shoulder. SLEEVES: Slip the 59-65-69-71-77-81-83 sleeve stitches from one thread on to circular needle size 4 mm, pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 8-10-12-14-16-16-18 stitches cast on under sleeve = 67-75-81-85-93-97-101 stitches. The pattern will not fit in the side under sleeves but work pattern so that it continues over pattern from yoke and as far in as possible to the side mid under sleeves. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the 8-10-12-14-16-16-18 new stitches under sleeve - round begins at the marker. Continue established pattern while at the same time on 1st round after division decreasing under sleeve, repeat decrease when piece measures 3 cm - read DECREASE TIP = 63-71-77-81-89-93-97 stitches. Work until sleeve measures 17-17-17-16-14-12-11 cm from division. Switch to double pointed needles size 3 mm and work rib (= knit 2/purl 2) while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 9-9-7-7-7-11-11 stitches evenly on 1st round = 72-80-84-88-96-104-108 stitches. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl when rib measures 4-4-4-4-5-5-5 cm. |
