Bon crochet!

Is the pattern written in English or American crochet terms ?
14.04.2024 - 22:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Patricia, you can find both versions. Next to the print button, before the pattern explanations, it shows you the languages available; there should be an English (UK/cm) version and an English (US/in) version. You can select the one you prefer. Happy crochetting!

Hello, I am new to crochet, so please pardon me if I am not understanding something fundamental. In the first round, how are the 6 double crochets to be distributed around the ring of four chain stitches? I would have expected the crochets to be divided evenly over chain stitches - e.g., 6 crochets worked over 3 chain stitches. By the way, I have enjoyed several Drops knitting patterns, and I appreciate you making them available! Thank you! Thank you.
15.06.2023 - 23:46DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kathy, you then crochet in the chain stitch ring, ie insert crochet hook in the chain stitch ring and not in the chain stitches themselves and crochet a total of 6 double crochets (UK-English) / single crochets (US-English) like this. Happy crocheting!
