Bon tricot!

Buongiorno Elena, potrebbe abbinare kid-silk colore 07, azzurro cielo chiaro oppure colore 38 gesso.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. Choose diagram for your size. INCREASE/DECREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to increase/decrease evenly, count the total number of stitches on needle (e.g. 252 stitches) and divide by the number of increases/decreases to be made (e.g. 6) = 42. In this example, increase by making 1 yarn over after approx. each 42nd stitch. On the next row work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. When decreasing, knit together approx. each 41st and 42nd stitch. DECREASE TIP (for mid under sleeve): Start 3 stitches before the marker thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (= 2 stitches decreased). INCREASE TIP (for mid under sleeve): Start 2 stitches before the marker thread, make 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread sits between these 4 stitches), make 1 yarn over (= 2 stitches increased). On the next round knit the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. KNITTING TIP (for sleeve length): The length of the sleeves can be adjusted as described in the text but be aware that the sleeve length is slightly longer than usual, which will make the sleeves a little baggy at the bottom. CASTING OFF TIP: To avoid the cast-off edge being tight you can cast off with a larger size needle; or make 1 yarn over after approx. each 6th stitch at the same time as casting off (yarn overs cast off as normal stitches). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, top down. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves. The body is continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/short circular needle, top down. The whole garment is worked with 1 strand Alpaca and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). NECK: Cast on 78-84-87-90-96-99 stitches with short circular needle size 4 mm and 1 strand Alpaca + 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). Knit 1 round then work rib in the round (= knit 1/ purl 2) for 3-3-3-4-4-4 cm. The next round is worked as follows: S, M and L: * Knit 1, 1 yarn over, purl 2, 1 yarn over *, work from *-* to the end of the round = 130-140-145 stitches on the needle. XL, XXL and XXXL: * Knit 1, 1 yarn over, purl 1, 1 yarn over, purl 1, 1 yarn over *, work from *-* to end of round = 180-192-198 stitches on the needle. ALL SIZES: Work 1 round with knit over knit and purl over purl (the yarn overs are purled twisted to avoid holes). Insert 1 marker in the round. Work the yoke as described below; the yoke will be measured from the marker. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 5 mm and work A.1 in the round (= 26-28-29-30-32-33 repeats of 5-5-5-6-6-6 stitches). Continue this pattern. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 8-9-10-10-11-11 cm from the marker by the neck, work A.2 in the round (= 26-28-29-30-32-33 repeats of 5-5-5-6-6-6 stitches). When A.2 has been completed in height there are 234-252-261-300-320-330 stitches on the needle. Then work A.3 in the round (= 26-28-29-30-32-33 repeats of 9-9-9-10-10-10 stitches). Continue A.3 until the piece measures approx. 18-20-22-22-24-25 cm from the marker on the neck. Knit 1 round where you increase 0-6-17-2-2-16 stitches evenly spaced – read INCREASE/DECREASE TIP = 234-258-278-302-322-346 stitches. Then work stocking stitch in the round. When the piece measures 19-21-23-24-26-28 cm from the marker on the neck, divide the piece for body and sleeves; i.e. the next round is worked as follows: Work 35-38-41-45-49-54 stitches in stocking stitch (= ½ back piece), place the next 46-52-56-60-62-64 stitches on 1 thread for sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on the needle (= in side under sleeve), work 71-77-83-91-99-109 stitches in stocking stitch (= front piece), place the next 46-52-56-60-62-64 stitches on 1 thread for sleeve, cast on 6-6-8-8-10-10 new stitches on the needle (= in side under sleeve) and work the remaining 36-39-42-46-50-55 stitches in stocking stitch (= ½ back piece). Cut the strand. Body and sleeves are finished separately. THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE! BODY: = 154-166-182-198-218-238 stitches. Start in the middle of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches under the sleeve on the one side of the piece and work stocking stitch in the round until the piece measures 27 cm from the division (there is now approx. 5 cm left to finished length; you can try the jumper on and work to desired length if necessary). Knit 1 round where you decrease 4-4-5-3-5-4 stitches evenly spaced – remember INCREASE/DECREASE TIP = 150-162-177-195-213-234 stitches. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and work rib in the round (= knit 1/ purl 2) for 5 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl – read CASTING-OFF TIP! The jumper measures approx. 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm from the shoulder down. SLEEVE: Place the 46-52-56-60-62-64 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on double pointed needles or short circular needle size 5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 52-58-64-68-72-74 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in the middle of the 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches under the sleeve and allow it to follow your work onwards; it will be used when decreasing/increasing mid under the sleeve. Start the round at the marker thread and work stocking stitch in the round. When the sleeve measures 3-3-2-2-2-2 cm from the division, decrease 2 stitches mid under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 3-2-1½-1-1-1 cm a total of 4-6-8-9-10-10 times = 44-46-48-50-52-54 stitches. When the piece measures 16-16-16-15-15-15 cm, increase 2 stitches mid under sleeve – read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 1½-1½-1½-1-1-1 cm a total of 15 times in all sizes = 74-76-78-80-82-84 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 42-40-39-37-35-34 cm from the division (there is now approx. 6 cm left to finished length; you can try the jumper on and work to desired length if necessary – read KNITTING TIP). NOTE: Shorter measurements in larger sizes due to wider neck and longer yoke. Knit 1 round where you decrease 2-4-0-2-4-0 stitches evenly spaced = 72-72-78-78-78-84 stitches. On the next round knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 36-36-39-39-39-42 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and work rib in the round (= knit 1/ purl 2) for 5 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl – remember CASTING-OFF TIP! The sleeve measures approx. 48-46-45-43-41-40 cm from the division. Work the other sleeve in the same way. |
