Bon tricot !

You give very different fiber content for VIVALDI in the DROPS 84-10 pattern (43% mohair, 27% acrylic, 30% polyester...305yards") than on the Vivaldi webpage (56% Mohair, 30% Polyamide, 14% Wool). Which is correct?
18.01.2013 - 10:47DROPS Design answered:
Dear MaryH, the content for DROPS Vivaldi is the one you can read on shademap. Our Vivaldi has been changed. Happy Knitting!

88 cm i hele omkredsen.

Smil Rikke

Knitting tension: Remember needle size is only a guide! 14 stitches x 20 rows with needle size 7 mm and stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: * K4, P4 *, repeat from *-*. Ridge/Garter stitch (in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. Decrease tip (for raglan decreases): Decrease as follows in every transition between body and sleeves: From right side: (start 3 stitches before marker thread): K2 together, K2 (marker thread sits in the middle of these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, K1, pass slipped stitch over. From wrong side: (start 3 stitches before marker thread): P2 twisted together, P2 (marker thread sits in the middle of these 2 stitches), P2 together. ---------------------------------------------------------- Body: Cast on 96-104-112-136-152 stitches with circular needle size 6 mm and Symphony and work rib - see description above. When piece measures 4 cm change to circular needle size 7 mm and continue with stocking stitch - at the same time, on round 1 after the rib, adjust the number of stitches to 92-104-114-132-148 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in each side = 46-52-57-66-74 stitches between marker threads. Remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 10 cm increase 1 stitch on each side of both marker threads every 4 cm a total of 5 times = 112-124-134-152-168 stitches. When piece measures 30-31-32-33-34 cm cast off 6 stitches in each side for armholes (i.e. 3 stitches on each side of the marker threads) = 50-56-61-70-78 stitches left on front and back pieces. Lay piece to one side and work sleeves. Sleeve: Cast on 39-41-41-43-45 stitches with double pointed needles size 6 mm and Symphony and work 2 ridges. Change to double pointed needles size 7 mm and continue with stocking stitch - at the same time, on round 1 after the ridges, decrease 8 stitches evenly on round = 31-33-33-35-37 stitches. When piece measures 10-10-10-9-12 cm increase 2 stitches mid under sleeve every 3.5-3.5-3-2.5-2 cm a total of 11-11-12-15-16 times = 53-55-57-65-69 stitches. When sleeve measures 48-47-47-46-46 cm cast off 6 stitches mid under = 47-49-51-59-63 stitches. Lay piece to one side and work 1 more sleeve. Yoke: Place sleeves on same circular needle as body, where you cast off stitches for armholes = 194-210-224-258-282 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in all transitions between body and sleeves = 4 marker threads. Work 3-1-1-0-0 rounds before beginning to decrease. Raglan decrease: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of all marker threads = 8 decreases per round. Decrease as follows - see Decrease tip: Every 2nd round: 17-19-20-19-19 times and every round: 0-0-0-5-7 times. Neckline: At the same time, when piece measures 46-48-49-51-53 cm place the middle 6-6-9-10-14 stitches on 1 thread for neck, then decrease towards neck every 2nd row: 1 stitch 2-2-3-3-3 times. After all decreases to raglan and neck there are 48-48-49-50-54 stitches on needle. Neck: Knit up approx. 10 to 20 stitches (incl. stitches from thread) along the front of neck with Symphony and place all stitches on double pointed needles size 7 mm = 58 to 74 stitches. Purl 1 round, then continue with stocking stitch - at the same time, on round 1 adjust the number of stitches to 56-60-64-66-68 stitches. When neck measures 5 cm, continue with stocking stitch with wrong side out (so the right side shows when the neck is folded down). When neck measures 10 cm increase 20 stitches evenly on round. Repeat the increase when piece measures 20 cm. Then increase every 4th round: 10 stitches 3 times (increase evenly) = 126-130-134-136-138 stitches. Loosely cast off, piece measures approx. 26 cm. Assembly: Sew openings under sleeves. Crochet edges: Work 1 round of chain-spaces with hook size 3.5 mm and Vivaldi around neck and bottom of sleeves as follows: 1 double crochet in first stitch, * 6 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches, 1 double crochet in next stitch *, repeat from *-* and finish with 6 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch in first stitch at beginning of round. |
