When decreasing for the back neckline is it a decrease every second row or do you decrease all the 31 sta at the 36 cm mark across the middle?(size 3 years) for the neck Thxs
25.02.2025 - 07:08DROPS Design answered:
Dear Jenny, you will cast off the middle 31 stitches for neck on back piece = 23 sts remain for each shoulder. Work now each shoulder separately, then cast off at the beginning of every row from neck 1 stitch 2 times. Happy knitting!

I am doing largest size and not sure if I have the correct number of stitches. Cast on 132 then increase 22 on last round of rib = 154 stitches but pattern says you should have 156 stitches. Also when dividing for back and front pattern says front = 78 stitches and back = 77 stitches which gives a total of 155 stitches (not 156 or 154). Can you please help with this.
05.07.2024 - 12:25DROPS Design answered:
Dear Jani, you should probably hee increase 24 sts to get the total of 156 sts and get front and back 78 sts each. Pattern should be edited, thanks for noticing. Happy knitting!

Dear Sandra, on right front piece (when garment is worn), start with first stitch on repeat and repeat diagram in width; on left front piece, adjust the beg of diagram so that you will end towards neck with a whole repeat. Happy knitting!

JUMPER: Knitting tension: 21 sts x 28 rows on needles size 3.5 mm in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Pattern: the diagram is seen from the RS. Front and back piece: Cast on 106-114-124 (132-132) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with and work 3-3-3 (4-4) cm Rib. Change to needle size 3.5 mm and continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 0-0-2 (14-22) sts evenly on round = 106-114-126 (146-156) sts. Remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 15-16-19 (20-19) cm divide piece in 2 and complete front and back pieces separately. Front piece: = 53-57-63 (73-78) sts. When piece measures 17-19-23 (25-28) cm cast off 5-5-5 (5-6) sts mid front for split and complete each side separately. Left shoulder: = 24-26-29 (34-36) sts. Change to needle size 3.5 mm and continue in stocking st. For the 2 larger sizes: when piece measures 5-6-6.5 (7-7) cm put 5 sts on thread for thumb. On next round cast on 5 new sts over sts on thread. When piece measures 11-12-13 (14-14)cm continue as follows: *1 round K tog all sts 2 by 2, 1 round stocking st*. Repeat 3 times. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. Thumb: Pick up 5 sts in the inc sts by thumb, inc 1 st, put sts from thread on needle, inc 1 st = 12 sts.
