Str. Ellers kun sat mærker i "hjørnerne".

Hei Kristen.

Really don't understand what it means on neck when it says increase every 2nd purl - 1 to purl 2?
20.03.2026 - 21:22DROPS Design answered:
Dear Dianne, you were working rib (purl 1, knit 1), you will increase all the round as follows: (purl 1, increase 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1) and on next round work (purl 2, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1) all the round. Happy knitting!

Altså i afsnit ÆRMEUDTAGNING? Det står ikke i opskrift!
27.12.2025 - 18:47DROPS Design answered:
Hei Lise-Lotte.

Omgang 2 vrang. Omgang 3, 2 vrang 4 ret? Men det står ikke i opskriften!

Under Mønster: “2 m.

Despite having trouble with bits of the pattern the garment came out as it should. I am very pleased with my finished top. I made it a bit longer and cast off with Jeny's surprisingly stretchy bind off method. I have ordered more cotton to make a second one.

I am up to dividing for body and sleeves. My markers are still around the 32 sleeve stitches after Shoulder increase for size XL so while I have the correct number of stitches, my rounds will start mid sleeve. I plan to split 3 stitches on sleeve side of shoulder 4 knit stitches. Help. Will this be okay?? I do not know where I went wrong. Work looks like the photo...
16.11.2025 - 03:17DROPS Design answered:
Hi Jenny, You place the first 62-62-62-68-74-86 stitches on a stitch holder (without working them). These are your first set of sleeve stitches, Then you cast on stitches under the sleeve. This is repeated on the other side for the other sleeve stitches. When you continue the body, you insert a marker in the middle of the cast-on stitches under one of the sleeves and the new round will begin there. Regards, Drops Team.

Hi Jenny, You work pattern on all rounds, and yarn overs on every 2nd round. Regards, Drops team.

I like the look of this top but have been struggling a bit with the directions. I have been doing the yarn over on the pattern row. Should I be doing it on the knit row? Yarn over before a purl is a pain.
16.11.2025 - 00:20DROPS Design answered:
Hi Jenny, This pattern is worked in the round, so you shouldn't be working rows and the yarn overs are worked with knitted stitches. Regards.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): Alternately knit 1 round and purl 1 round. 1 ridge vertically = 2 rounds. INCREASE TIP-1: Increase by making 1 yarn-over after every 2nd purled stitch. On the next round purl the yarn over twisted to avoid a hole. INCREASE TIP-2: Increase by making 1 yarn-over. On the next round work the yarn over twisted and into the rib; i.e., work the increased stitches as follows: knit, knit, knit, knit, garter stitch, garter stitch, etc. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, top down and from the right back shoulder. The yoke is divided for the body and sleeves and the body continued in the round. The sleeves are worked top down, in the round. NECK: Cast on 112-120-120-136-144-144 stitches with circular needle size 2.5 mm and DROPS Cotton Light. Knit 1 round, then work rib in the round (purl 1, knit 1). When the rib measures 2-2-3-3-3-3 cm, increase every 2nd purl-1 to purl-2 – read INCREASE TIP-1 = 140-150-150-170-180 stitches. Insert 1 marker here. When the rib measures 4 cm, increase the remaining purl-1 to purl-2 = 168-180-180-204-216-216 stitches. When the rib measures 6-6-7-7-8-8 cm, work the yoke. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 4 mm. Insert 4 markers, without working the stitches and each marker being inserted between 2 stitches: Insert marker-1 before the first stitch on the round, count 14-14-14-20-26-26 stitches (= sleeve), insert marker-2, count 70-76-76-82-82-82 stitches (= front piece), insert marker-3, count 14-14-14-20-26-26 stitches (= sleeve), insert marker-4, there are 70-76-76-82-82-82 stitches after the last marker (= back piece). On the next round begin increasing for the sleeves and working pattern – read the next 2 sections before continuing. PATTERN: Work as follows: * 2 GARTER STITCHES – read description above, knit 4 *, work from *-* to end of round (from the rib, work 2 garter stitches above 2 purl; knit 4 above knit 1, purl 2, knit 1). SLEEVE-INCREASES: NOTE! In sizes XXL and XXXL there are no separate sleeve-increases; skip this section and go straight to YOKE-INCREASES. Work pattern and increase on each sleeve every 2nd round as follows – read INCREASE TIP-2, increasing between markers 1 and 2 and between markers 3 and 4 on each side of the 14-14-14-20 sleeve-stitches (4 increased stitches on the round = 2 on each sleeve). The stitch count on the sleeve increases but the stitch count remains the same on the front and back pieces. Increase a total of 12-12-6-6 times = 216-228-204-228 stitches. YOKE-INCREASES: You now increase on both the body and sleeves, on each side of 4 knitted stitches (the 4 outermost stitches on each side of the front and back pieces) = 8 increased stitches per round – remember INCREASE TIP-2. Increase like this every 2nd round a total of 12-12-18-18-24-30 times. You have now increased 24-24-24-24-24-30 times on the sleeves and 12-12-18-18-24-30 times on the front and back pieces = 312-324-348-372-408-456 stitches. The piece measures approx. 20-20-21-21-22-26 cm, measured from the neck-marker. Continue working pattern until the piece measures 21-21-22-23-23-26 cm, from the neck-marker. Now divide for the body and sleeves. DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: Place the first 62-62-62-68-74-86 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 14 stitches (under the sleeve), work 94-100-112-118-130-142 stitches in pattern (= front piece), place the next 62-62-62-68-74-86 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 14 stitches (under the sleeve), work 94-100-112-118-130-142 stitches in pattern (= back piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. BODY: = 216-228-252-264-288-312 stitches. Continue with knit 4, 2 garter stitches (the new stitches under each sleeve are worked into the pattern) until the piece measures 43-45-47-48-49-51 cm from the neck-marker. Change to circular needle size 2.5 mm and work rib as follows: Purl 2 above the 2 garter stitches, knit 1 + purl 2 + knit 1 above the 4 knitted stitches. Work this rib for 3 cm. Cast off. The jumper measures approx. 46-48-50-51-52-54 cm from the neck-marker and 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm from top of shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 62-62-62-68-74-86 sleeve-stitches from one thread on circular needle size 4 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 14 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 76-76-76-82-88-100 stitches. Continue the pattern in the round and on the first round decrease 4 stitches evenly spaced under the sleeve so the ribbed pattern fits = 72-72-72-78-84-96 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 13-13-13-12-13-11 cm from the division. Change to double pointed needles size 2.5 mm. Work rib as follows: Purl 2 above the 2 garter stitches, knit 1 + purl 2 + knit 1 above the 4 knitted stitches. Work this rib for 3 cm. Cast off. |
