I started knitting the vest and found out that the instructions for the back do not match the front. For the back we start with the RS and the rib is K1,P2. For the left front we start with RS and the rib is K2,P1. Also increases for the back and for the front are at different heights. Are all these inconsistencies intentional or are they errors in instructions. Please help.

Dear Raisa, you're right, there is a mistake in the pattern. The rib is k2,p1, we will correct it as soon as possible. Also, the decreases are worked in different heights due to the English rib pattern.

Hi thanks for reply. I have increased equally on both sides so that is not the issue. Would it be possible for me to email you a picture so you can see what I mean? Regards Ann

Dear Mrs Ward, do not hesitate to bring your project to your store (or send them a picture per mail) so that they can check. Happy knitting!

I have started the back section and have done about 15cms but when i look at my knitting from the right side it slopes to the right at an angle to the starting rib. I have followed the English rib for the main body and not used the method shown in the video. Does this sound right?
25.11.2017 - 10:56DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ann, the piece should not slope to either side. There is an increase on the sides for waist shaping, but it should be symmetric for the back. I hope this helps. Happy Knitting!

Instruction for the back piece states "when piece measures 36cm knit 7 sts continuing on each side in garter sts". Sorry but I do not understand this instruction. Does this mean the English rib stops at this point? I am confused! I'd be really grateful if someone could explain this part for me please. Thank you.
25.03.2017 - 18:39DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ellen, when piece measures 36 cm, work 7 sts in garter st, continue English rib as before until 7 sts remain, work the last 7 sts in garter st. Happy knitting!

19.09.2016 - 14:13DROPS Design answered:
Bon tricot!
