How to work false English rib and purl stitches back and forth on needle

This DROPS video illustrates how to work false English/fisherman’s rib and purl stitches back and forth on the needle. We have worked a few rows prior to shooting this video.
Work like so:

1st row:
Knit 1, * purl 1, make 1 yarn over, slip the next stitch on to the right needle as if to purl *, repeat from *-* until 2 stitches remain, purl 1, knit 1

2nd row:
Knit 1, * knit 1, purl yarn over and the slipped stitch together *, repeat from *-* until 2 stitches remain, knit 2.

Repeat 1st and 2nd row.

For this video we have used DROPS Eskimo.
