Knitting tension: 14 sts x 19 rows on needles size 6mm with 1 thread of each yarn quality in stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Pattern: See diagrams M.1 to M.4. Diagram M.1 and M.2 show the pattern from the right side. Front piece: Cast on 53-63-73-83 sts (inclusive of 1 seam st each side – all seam sts are knitted in garter sts) on needles size 6 mm with 1 thread yellow Muskat and 1 thread orange Vivaldi (double thread). Knit 4 rows garter sts and continue in stocking sts. When piece measures 5-7-8-9 knit M.3 - make sure the next row is the WS - (after M.3 continue with colours in stripe until finished measurements). When piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st each side on every 9-10-10-10 cm a total of 3 times = 59-69-79-89 sts. At the same time after 21 rows of M.3 (piece measures approx 16-18-19-20 cm) knit next row as follows from the right side: 1 seam st, 1-1-1-2 sts in stocking sts, M.1A (= 5 sts), M.1B over the next 40-50-60-70 sts, M.1C (= 6 sts), 1-1-1-2 sts in stocking sts, 1 seam st. Knit 1 repeat of M.1 and continue in stocking sts (continue the stripe pattern as before). When piece measures 37-39-40-41 cm cast off for armhole each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-2-3-4 times and 1 st 1-1-3-5 times = 51-53-55-57 sts. When piece measures 45-47-50-51 cm cast off the middle 11-11-13-15 sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other row as follows: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times = 13-14-14-14 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 56-59-62-64 cm. Back piece: Cast on and knit as front piece. Cast off for armhole as for front piece and continue until piece measures 54-57-60-62 cm. Cast off the middle 23-23-25-27 sts for neck and cast off 1 st on each neck side on next row = 13-14-14-14 sts left on each shoulder. Cast of remaining sts when piece measures 56-59-62-64 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 36-37-38-38 sts (inclusive of 1 seam st each side) on needles size 6mm with 1 thread yellow Muskat and 1 thread orange Vivaldi (= double thread). Knit 4 rows garter sts and continue in stocking sts. Read all of the following section before continuing! Pattern: When piece measures 3-3-4-5 cm knit next row as follows from the right side: 1 seam st, 4-4-0-0 sts in stocking sts, M.2 over the next 27-27-36-36 sts, 3-4-0-0 sts in stocking sts, 1 seam st. After M.2 continue in stocking sts following M.4 (after M.4 continue with colours in stripe until finished measurements). At the same time after 24 rows of M.4 knit M.2 again (continue stripe pattern as before) Increases: at the same time when piece measures 10-10-12-12 cm inc 1 st each side on every 7.-6.-3.5-2.5 cm a total of 6-7-10-13 times = 48-51-58-64 sts. When sleeve measures 48-48-47-45 cm cast off for sleeve cap each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2-2-1-1 times and 1 st 2-3-6-8 times, then 2 sts each side until sleeve measures 55-56-57-57 cm. Now cast off 3 sts each side 1 time and cast of remaining sts when sleeve measures 56-57-58-58 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulders seams. Neck: Pick up approx 80-90 sts round the neck on circular needle 6mm with 1 thread rose Muskat and 1 thread raspberry Vivaldi (double thread). Purl 1 row, knit 1 round and cast off loosely with purled sts. Crochet border: Using crochet hook size 5 and 1 thread rose Muskat and 1 thread raspberry Vivaldi crochet a border round the neckline as follows: 1 dc, *4 ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-*. Set in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams within 1 seam st. |
