Knitting Tension: 17 sts x 22 rows on needle size 5 mm in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm Moss st: first row: K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Second row: P over K and K over P. Repeat second row. Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side. _______________________________________________ Front and back piece: Knitted back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 182-188 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with plum / purple and work 3 cm moss st. Change to circular needle size 5 mm, work 1 row stocking st, at the same time inc 10-28 sts evenly on round = 192-216 sts. Continue in pattern as follows: M.2, M.3, M.4, and then if rows remain to full length complete piece in plum. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 47-51 cm, divide the piece in 2 and complete front and back pieces separately. Front piece: = 48-54 sts. When piece measures 68-73 cm dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 11-11 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times. Cast off remaining sts after when piece measures 74-79 cm – adjust to pattern. Back piece: = 96-108 sts. When piece measures 72-77 cm cast off the middle 26-26 sts for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts after when piece measures 74-79 cm. Sleeve: Knitted round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36-40 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with plum /purple and work 3 cm moss st. Change to needle size 5 mm, work 1 round in stocking st, at the same time inc 10-8 sts evenly on round = 46-48 sts. Work pattern as follows: M.1, M.3 and then complete piece in M.4. At the same time after the moss st inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 23-24 times on every 3rd and 4th round alternately for size S, and on every 4th round for size M/L = 92-96 sts – incorporate the new sts in pattern as you go along. When piece measures 44-42 cm cast off 6 sts mid under arm and complete sleeve back and forth on needle. Dec to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 5 sts 3 times. Cast off, sleeve measures approx 48-46 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 110 sts on needle size 3.5 mm with plum /purple along left front piece and work 3 cm moss st back and forth on needle, cast off. Repeat along right front piece, but after 1 cm make 7-8 buttonholes evenly distributed on row. 1 buttonhole = cast off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Pick up approx 90 sts round the neck on needle size 3.5 mm with plum and work 3 cm moss st, change to wine red, work 1 row moss st, cast off. Set in sleeves and sew on buttons. __________________________ HAT: Size: Medium Materials: DROPS Karisma, from Garnstudio 150 g colour no 38, purple DROPS double pointed needles size 4 mm Knitting Tension: 20 x 26 sts on needle size 4 mm in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side and English translations for the wording in diagrams are given at the bottom of this pattern and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram. Hat Cast on 20 sts on needle size 4 mm and work M.5 back and forth on needle for 50 cm, cast off. Sew tog to form a ring. Now pick up 189 sts on needle size 4 mm and work first round as follows: *M.6, 19 sts stocking st*, repeat from *-*. At the same time dec 1 st on both sides of M.6 on every 3rd and 4th round alternately a total of 13 times (when no sts left next to M.6, dec in M.6) = 7 sts left. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. Make a pompom measuring approx 5 cm and attach to top of hat. __________________________ GLOVES: Size: S/M – M/L Materials: DROPS Karisma, from Garnstudio 100 g colour no 38, purple, DROPS double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and 3 mm Knitting Tension: 22 sts x 32 rows on needle size 3 mm in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Moss st: first row: K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Second row: P over K and K over P. Repeat second row. Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side and English translations for the wording in diagrams are given at the bottom of this pattern and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram. Glove Cast on 54-58 sts on double pointed needle size 2.5 mm and work 2 cm moss st, then 2 cm Rib, at the same time dec 10-10 sts evenly on last round = 44-48 sts. Work next round as follows: 3-4 stocking sts, M.6, M.6, 3-4 sts stocking st (22-24 sts = mid upper hand), 1 stocking st for thumb (insert a MT in this st), 21-23 stocking sts (= under hand). Now measure piece from here! When piece measures 3 cm continue for thumb as follows: inc 1 st on both sides of st with MT on every 4th-3rd round 5-6 times = 54-60 sts (work inc sts in stocking st). Now put 11 sts over thumb on a thread and cast on 1 new st behind these on next round = 44-50 sts. Continue until piece measures 10-11 cm, discontinue M.6 and complete piece in stocking st. Work fingers as follows: Little finger: Pick up 4-6 sts from upper hand and 4-5 sts from under hand and cast on 1 new st towards ring finger = 9-12 sts. Work 5-6 cm stocking st, at the same time dec 1 st on first round. Now K tog all sts 2 by 2, cut the thread and pull through remaining sts. Fasten. Work 3 rounds stocking st before working the remaining fingers. Ring finger = Pick up 6-6 sts from upper hand and 6-7 sts from under hand and cast on 1 new st towards middle finger = 13-14 sts. Work 6-7 cm stocking st, at the same time dec 1 st on first round. Now K tog all sts 2 by 2, cut the thread and pull through remaining sts. Fasten. Middle finger: Pick up 6-6 sts from upper hand and 6-7 sts from under hand and cast on 1 new st towards ring finger and 1 new st towards index finger = 14-15 sts. Work 7-8 cm stocking st, at the same time dec 2 sts on first round. Now K tog all sts 2 by 2, cut the thread and pull through remaining sts. Fasten. Index finger: = Pick up 6-6 sts from upper hand and 6-7 sts from under hand and cast on 1 new st towards middle finger = 13-14 sts. Work like ring finger. Thumb: Put 11 sts on thread back on needle and pick up 1-3 sts behind these, work 6-6.5 cm stocking st, cast off as described for ring finger. Work the other glove in the same way, but mirrored. |
