Dear Mrs Parsons, first row in A.2 is worked over 15 sts. On row 5, 7, 9, 11 you will make 2 YOs on each side of middle st (= 2 sts inc on each of these rows) = 23 sts on row 12. Then you will start to dec on on each side of leaf (inside P sts) on row 15, 17, 19, 21: there are 15 sts again on row 22. Happy knitting!

Hi, I'm confused... Do I need to start every row with 2 garter stitches and end every row with 8 garter stitches. I'm a beginner and when doing sl, k1, psso, I'm decreasing a stitch, then I'm decreasing 3 more stitches again with when k2 tog, psso. Where do I make up these stitches to even out the pattern
06.02.2017 - 22:59DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Parsons, you have to work each row with 2 sts in garter st (towards bottom edge, beg of row from RS) and 8 sts in garter st (towards neck, end of row from RS). Number of sts in diagram A.1 and A.3 will always be the same. Number of sts in diagram A.3 will vary from 15-23 depending on the row worked. Happy knitting!

22.01.2017 - 16:46DROPS Design answered:
Hoi. Lees hier hoe je onze telpatronen moet breien. Brei je bijvoorbeeld de kleinst maat, dan brei je als volgt: 2 st in ribbelst, A.1 over 12 st (3 herhalingen), A.2 (= 15 st), A.1 over 12 st, A.3 (= 23 st), A.1 over 12 st, A.4 (= 17 st) en 6 st in ribbelst. Je herhaalt steeds de patronen tot A.3 16 keer in de hoogte is gebreid.

Skjønner ikke A1, skal det vise fire omganger ? Begynner man med 4 vrange på første pinne ?
11.01.2017 - 01:33DROPS Design answered:
Hej Kari. Ja, du starter med vrang, i naeste p strikker du: strikk 3 m i 1 m slik: 1 r, 1 vr, 1 r. og herefter: strikk 3 m vrang sammen. I 3e p igen 4 vr. Grunden til at diagrammet forskyder sig er pga de 3 m i 1 i anden p, men det retter sig op i 4e p naar du strikker omvendt.

(Drops 173-12) Diagram A1 is off set does that mean you move over one stitch ? Also I am assuming the graph shows right side of work and on wrong side you just k the k's and p the p's. Right or wrong?
09.01.2017 - 21:27DROPS Design answered:
Dear Marilyn, all rows are shown in diagrams, both from RS and from WS, in A.1 row 1, P all sts from RS, on row2 from WS, P the first 3 sts tog, and work 3 sts in next st (repeat all the row), row 3 = row 1 and row 4 is worked mirrored as row 2 = work 3 sts in first st, P the next 3 sts tog.

28.12.2016 - 19:48DROPS Design answered:
Liebe Ina, Dieser Poncho ist mit 1 Faden Garngruppe A (= Alpaca) + 1 Faden Garngruppe C (= Brushed Alpaca Silk) gestrickt. Alpaca gehört zur Garngruppe A wie Baby Alpaca Silk - Brushed Alpaca Silk sollen Sie entweder behalten oder dann mit 2 Faden Garngruppe A ersetzen - hier lesen Sie mehr über Alternative. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

Knitted DROPS poncho with different patterns in “Alpaca” and “Brushed Alpaca Silk”. Size: S - XXXL.
DROPS 173-12 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
GARTER ST (back and forth): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. Diagrams show 1 repetition of pattern seen from RS, no of sts in A.2 will vary from 15 to 23 sts. ---------------------------------------------------------- PONCHO: Worked back and forth on a circular needle to make room for all the sts. Cast on 82-96-110 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm with 1 strand Alpaca + 1 strand Brushed Alpaca Silk. Work 3 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME on last row (= WS) inc 17 sts evenly = 99-113-127 sts. On next row (= RS) work PATTERN as follows: 2 sts in garter st, A.1 over 12-16-20 sts, A.2 (= 15 sts), A.1 over 12-16-20 sts, A.3 (= 23 sts), A.1 over 12-16-20 sts, A.4 (= 17 sts) and 6-8-10 sts in garter st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION Continue pattern like this until A.3 has been worked 16-17-18 times vertically. Piece measures approx. 127-135-150 cm (the no of sts will not be the same as when started working the diagrams since the no of sts in A.2 is different depending on where you are in the diagram). Work 3 ridges and AT THE SAME TIME adjust the no of sts on first row to 82-96-110 sts. Cast off and fasten the threads. ASSEMBLY: Place one long side against one short side and sew tog (opposite long side now forms a tip mid front). |
