We have reached the last 3 rounds of our blanket, which will create a lovely, wavy edge and put an end to the mystery...

We hope you have enjoyed all the clues as much as we have, learning new techniques while crocheting together; and that you are happy with the final result, a fantastic flower blanket you can proudly cuddle into!

ROUND 1:
Switch to turquoise (no 18), work 3 ch (= 1st dc), ch 1, skip 1 sc, * 1 dc around next ch, ch 1, skip 1 sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round.

In the corners work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc and ch 1, skip next sc.

Finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round, read COLOR CHANGE.
= 444 dc and 440 ch on round (= 126 dc and 125 ch on each long side, 96 dc and 95 ch on each short side) + 4 3-ch-spaces in the corners.

COLOR CHANGE:
When changing color work as follows: Before last pull through of last loop on hook, switch color, pull the last loop on hook through with the new color.

Work * 1 dc around next ch, ch 1, skip 1 sc *, repeat from *-* the entire round.

= ch
= tr


In the corners work 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc and ch 1, skip next sc.

= ch
= tr


Finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round, read COLOR CHANGE.

= sl st

ROUND 2:
Work 3 ch (= 1 dc), 1 dc in same st, * ch 3, work 2 dc tog in same st as follows: Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 loops on hook), work 1 dc more in same st (= 3 loops on hook) and pull last YO through all 3 loops on hook *, repeat 1 more time (= 6 dc in same st), ch 1, skip 3 sts, 1 sc in next dc, ch 1, skip 1 st.

Work * 1 sc in next dc, ch 1, skip 3 sts, in next dc work - 1 FAN -read below, ch 1, skip 3 sts, 1 sc in next dc, ch 1, skip 1 st *, repeat *-* the entire round, finish each side with 1 sc in last st.

Work ch 1, 1 FAN and 1 ch in the corners. Finish round with 1 sc in next to last dc, 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round. (= 25 fans in each long side, 19 fans in each short side and 1 fan in each corner).

FAN:
* Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 loops on hook), work 1 dc more in same st (= 3 loops on hook) and pull last YO through all 3 loops on hook, 3 ch *, repeat from *-* 1 more time, 1 dc in same st but wait with last pull through (= 2 loops on hook), work 1 dc more in same st (= 3 loops on hook) and pull last YO through all 3 loops on hook (= 3 dc-groups in same st with 3 ch between every dc-group).

Work * 1 sc in next dc, ch 1, skip 3 sts, in next dc work - read FAN , ch 1, skip 3 sts, 1 sc in next dc, ch 1, skip 1 st *, repeat *-* the entire round.

= ch
= sc
= 2 dc tog


Finish each side with 1 sc in last st.

= sc


Work ch 1, 1 FAN and 1 ch in the corners.

= ch
= 2 dc tog


Finish round with 1 sc in next to last dc, 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round.

= ch
= sc
= sl st

ROUND 3: Work * 3 sc around next ch-space, 1 sc at the top of fan from previous round, 1 PICOT-2, read PICOT-2 below, 3 sc around next ch-space, ch 1, 1 sc around ch from previous round (ch between every FAN), ch 1, skip 3 sts *, repeat from *-* the entire round.

Work as follows in the corners: 3 sc around ch-space, 1 sc at the top of FAN from previous round, 1 PICOT-2, 3 sc around next ch-space, ch 1, skip 2 sts, 1 sc in next sc, 1 ch.

Finish round with 1 sl st in 1st ch on round. Fasten off.

PICOT-2:
3 ch, 1 sl st in 3rd ch from hook.

Work * 3 sc around next ch-space, 1 sc at the top of fan from previous round, 1 PICOT-2, read PICOT-2 below, 3 sc around next ch-space, ch 1, 1 sc around ch from previous round (ch between every FAN), ch 1, skip 3 sts *, repeat from *-* the entire round.

= ch
= sc
= sl st


Work as follows in the corners: 3 sc around ch-space, 1 sc at the top of FAN from previous round, 1 PICOT-2, 3 sc around next ch-space, ch 1, skip 2 sts, 1 sc in next sc, 1 ch.

= sc
= sl st


Finish round with 1 sl st in 1st ch on round.

= sl st

IMPORTANT: The pictures and the video show an example where we crochet the edge around 1 single square. You need to crochet this edge around the whole blanket (40 squares).
