While going back I dropped one of the German Twist stiches. Is there a way to fix this without having to undo half my work? (I have cast on 120 stitches and this happened around stitch 70...) Dear Feline, sorry, we are not sure to have any tipp to fix this, depending on your yarn and the piece worked, you can either try to increase a new stitch on first row over the dropped one, or unravel and cast on again. Your store might have any more tips for you, do not hesitate to contact them even per mail or telephone. Happy knitting!

Bonjour Janine, vous pouvez au choix commencer par un rang end ou directement par les côtes en fonction de l'effet voulu. Si vous avez tendance à tricoter serré, ajustez la taille d'aiguilles du montage pour conserver un bord extensible et surtout pensez bien à faire votre échantillon et à adapter la taille des aiguilles pour avoir le bon nombre de mailles/rangs indiqué dans le modèle. Wrap the thread as many times around the knitting needle as many stitch number your work need. Have approx. 10 cm/4 inches thread end at the beginning to hold on (we also tie a knot to mark exactly how much thread it is left when you finish cast on). There are various methods to cast on. In this video, you don’t need to guess how much yarn you have to use, like in the more common "long tail cast on".

There are different methods to cast on. This one is the most common that gives a firm but still elastic edge. It’s called the continental method. The cast on should be firm but not too hard. If you feel it becomes too tight you can use larger needles or cast on around two needles and then pull one needle out afterwards. Remember to use the correct needles when starting your knitting.
