How to work a lace pattern with increases and decreases to make a little knot

In this DROPS video we show how to work after chart with increases and decreases to make a little knot. This chart is used in the vest «Raspberry Rose» in DROPS 218-17 and the sweater «Raspberry Rose Sweater» in DROPS 218-18. We work 3 garter stitches on each side and mark the 3 icons that makes the knot in purple. Icon 1: Work in the stitch below the next stitch as follows: knit 1, 1 yarn over, knit 1 (= 2 stitches increased). Icon 2: 3 Work stitches in stockinette stitch. Icon 3: Work like this: slip 2 stitches as if to knit together, knit 1 and pass the 2 slipped stitches over the knitted stitch (= 2 stitches decreased). The vest and sweater are knitted in DROPS Alpaca, but in the video we use a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern and look at the charts to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show you how to work knit 1, purl 1, in the round using the Nordic knitting method. This textured pattern is called rib/ribbing and is one of many varieties. BEFORE THE VIDEO STARTS: The stitch count needs to be divisible by 2 so that all knitted stitches are above each other and all purled stitches are above each other. We have already worked a few centimetres of the ribbed pattern. THE VIDEO SHOWS: ROUND 1: Knit 1, purl 1, to end of round. ROUND 2: The stitches are worked in the same way as the stitches below = knit above knit and purl above purl. Repeat ROUND 2 onwards.
