How to work a strap with cable to a top

In this DROPS video we show how to work after chart A.6 to the “Seaside Spirals” top in DROPS 211-13, but the same technique / similar cable is used in other patterns. This top is worked in DROPS Paris, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern and look at the chart to be able to follow this video properly. DROPS Design :

Dear Mrs Scholtz, from WS purl the first 2 sts together, *purl the next 2 sts together (= there are now 2 sts on right needle), pass the first stich on right needle over the outermost stitch (= 1 st left on right needle )*, repeat from *-* until all stitches are cast off. Happy knitting!

In this DROPS video we show how to work the pattern to the “Beachside Garden” summer top in DROPS 64-8. First we pick up stitches from WS over 2 crocheted flower square. When working the pattern we knit 2 stitches in each side, both from RS and WS. Work like this: ROW 1: K 2, * slip 1 stitch as if to K, K 1, pass the slipped stitch over 1 K and leave the slipped stitch on left needle, K the slipped stitch *, repeat from *-*, finish with K2. We have already cast on 11 stitches (we use less no of stitches than it says in the pattern) and work 2 rows before we start on the charts. We work chart A.2 and A.4 1 time and A.3 2 times in the width. We work the charts 1 time in height and and when the diagrams are to be repeated in height, we work A.2 and A.4 1 time, while A.3 is now worked 4 times in width.
