ACCESSORIES FOR THE PIECE:

HAT:

KNITTING TENSION:
12 stitches in width and 16 rows vertically in stocking stitch and 2 strands = 10 x 10 cm.
15 stitches in width and 16 rows vertically with rib (= knit 1/purl 1) and 2 strands = 10 x 10 cm.

NEEDLES:
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 7 mm
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 7 mm, length 40 cm.
Needle size is only a suggestion! If you have too many stitches on 10 cm switch to larger needles. If you have too few stitches on 10 cm switch to smaller needles.

SCARF:

KNITTING TENSION:
11 stitches in width and 15 rows vertically in stocking stitch and 2 strands = 10 x 10 cm.

NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 8 mm, length 60 cm for scarf.

EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN:

GARTER STITCH (back and forth):
1 ridge = knit 2 rows.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2.

START THE PIECE HERE:

HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Switch to double pointed needles when needed.

HAT:
Cast on 72-76-80 stitches on circular needle size 7 mm with 2 strands Air. Purl 1 row from wrong side. Turn piece and continue in the round as follows: * Knit 1, purl 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
When piece measures 20-21-22 cm, decrease as follows:
ROUND 1: * Knit 1, knit 2 together, purl 1 *, work from *-* the entire round (= 18-19-20 stitches decreased) = 54-57-60 stitches.
ROUNDS 2-4: Knit over knit and purl over purl.
ROUND 5: Knit 2 * knit 2 together, knit 1 *, work from *-* until 1 purl stitch remains on round, knit the next 2 stitches together (= 18-19-20 stitches decreased) = 36-38-40 stitches.
ROUNDS 6-8: Knit all stitches.
ROUND 9: Knit stitches together 2 by 2 = 18-19-20 stitches.
ROUND 10: Knit all stitches.
ROUND 11: Knit 0-1-0 stitch, knit stitches together 2 by 2 = 9-10-10 stitches. Cut the yarn, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. 27-28-29 cm.

SCARF - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE GARMENT:
Work piece back and forth on circular needle.

SCARF:
Cast on 39 stitches on circular needle size 8 mm with 2 strands Air. Work 1 ridge in GARTER STITCH - read explanation above. Now work pattern as follows: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, * knit 1, A.1 (= 8 stitches), knit 1, A.2 (= 8 stitches) *, work from *-* 2 times in total, knit 1, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue back and forth like this until piece measures 150 cm. Work 1 ridge. Cast off.

Diagram

= knit from the right side, purl from the wrong side
= purl from the right side, knit from the wrong side
= between 2 stitches make 1 yarn over. On next round purl or knit yarn over - see next row in diagram. There should be holes
= purl 2 together

Det står "Strikk 1 pinne vrang fra vrangen" Blir det det samme som å strikke en omgang rett fra retten rundt? Eller skal man først strikke en omgang vrang uten å strikke rundt, altså ikke strikke rundt før pinne nr 2? Blir ikke det litt rart akkurat der omgangen begynner? Finnes det en video?

Bonjour , je ne comprends pas comment lire le diagramme? Est-ce de bas en haut et de gauche à droite. Après plusieurs essais, je n'obtiens pas le dessin voulu. Merci d'avance .

Bonjour Véronique, les diagrammes se lisent en commençant en bas à droite et de droite à gauche sur l'endroit (de gauche à droite sur l'envers). Vous tricotez ainsi: 1 m lis, *1 m end (qui sera tricotée à l'envers sur l'envers), A.1 (= on diminue 1 m et on augmente 1 m = 8 m), 1 m end (à tricoter à l'env sur l'env), A.2 (= on augmente 1 m et on diminue 1 m = 8 m), 1 m end (à tricoter à l'env sur l'env)*, répétez de *-* encore 1 fois, 1 m lis. Vous pouvez placer des marqueurs pour délimiter les diagrammes et être bien certaine de tricoter ces 8 m comme indiqué dans les diagrammes. Bon tricot!
