Switch to green and K 1 round after last inc and at the same time bind off the middle 10 sts at the back of slipper (i.e. Bind off 5 sts on each side of marker mid back) = 64-70-78 sts remain on needle (piece measures approx. 12-13-13 cm / 4 3/4"-5"-5" from marker mid back).
Keep the middle 10 sts at the front of slipper on needle and slip the remaining 27-30-34 sts in each side on stitch holders. Work in garter st back and forth over the 10 sts (= sole) AT THE SAME TIME K last st on row (both from RS and WS) tog with first st on stitch holder until all sts on stitch holder in each side have been bind off. Bind off the 10 sts in garter st on sole.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew bind-off edge on sole to slipper mid back where there is an opening.

CROCHET BORDER:
Beg at the top mid back on slipper and work on hook size 4 mm / G/6 with green as follows: 1 dc in first st, * ch 1, skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in dc from beg of round. Fasten off.

TIES WITH POMPOM:
Cut 1 length of green yarn of 120 cm / 47 1/4''. Twine the strand, place it double at it will twine again. Make a knot at each end. Beg mid front on slipper, approx. 5 cm / 2'' from edge at the top and thread tie up and down between every other st. You can cut the tie to desired length afterwards. Make 2 pompoms of approx. 3-4 cm / 1"-1½" in diameter. Sew a pompom to each end of the tie.
