GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = K2 rows.

KNITTING TIP:
Tighten yarn when sts are worked K 2 tog to avoid big holes.
----------------------------------------------------------

SLIPPER:
Worked from heel and towards toe. Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 27-27-29-29 sts on needle size 5.5 mm / US 9 with Eskimo (let the yarn end be approx. 20 cm / 8''; used for assembly). Work in GARTER ST – see explanation above, back and forth on needle until piece measures 17½-19½-22½-25½ cm / 6 7/8"-7 3/4"-8 7/8"-10" - REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE.
Work next row from RS as follows: K 1, then K sts tog 2 by 2 = 14-14-15-15 sts – READ KNITTING TIP! K 3 rows.
Work next row from RS as follows: * K 5-5-3-3, K the next 2 sts tog *, repeat from *-* 2-2-3-3 times in total = 12 sts on needle. K 1 row. On next row K all sts tog 2 by 2 = 6 sts. Piece now measures approx. 21-23-26-29 cm / 8¼”-9”-10 1/4"-11½". Cut the strands (let the yarn end be approx. 20 cm / 8'' long; used for assembly) and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog.
Knit another slipper.

ASSEMBLY:
Fold cast-on edge double and sew tog mid back. Sew tog edge to edge from toe and up to 1/3 of the slipper. Sew in edge sts to avoid a chunky seam.

I assume after we are left with 6 stitches, we are to cast off and then cut the strands? I have already cut the strands and realized I should have cast off first. I'm a fairly new knitter so instructions have to be specific. Thanks.

DROPS Design 19.11.2018 kl. 08:25:

Dear Jennie, stitches are not bound off, pull yarn through these 6 remaining stitches, tigthen together and sew tog edge to edge from toe up to 1/3 of the slipper with the same yarn. Happy knitting!

Decrease instructions make no sense! Can anyone transcribe?

DROPS Design 25.06.2018 kl. 06:24:

Hi Alice, To decrease first row: knit 1 then knit the rest of the stitches together 2 and 2 - so knit 2 together, knit 2 together, knit 2 together and so on. Then you knit 3 rows without decreasing and on the next row, knit 5-5-3-3- stitches and knit 2 together and repeat this to end of row. Knit 1 row and finally knit all stitches together again, 2 and 2 which leaves you with 6 stitches. I hope this helps and happy knitting!

DROPS Design 07.11.2014 kl. 18:32:

Hei Marie. Det er ikke feil. Du har 15 masker og strikker: 3 m r, de neste 2 m strikkes r sammen, Dvs, 3 + 1 maske (2 r sammen), 3 gange = 4 x 3 = 12
