Dear Velia, you will find relevant videos to the techniques used in that pattern under tab "videos" at the right side of the picture. You can find our yarn in your country by our DROPS Superstore in the USA. Happy crocheting!

PATTERN: See diagrams A.1, A.2 and A.3. LOOP Loop after row with tr: * 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc * between 2 tr. Loop after row with ch-spaces: * 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc * in ch-space. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: To make the pattern on shawl turn the same way when worn, work first from the middle and out towards one side. Then work the other part in beg edge from the middle and out towards the other side. Work 115 ch (includes 4 ch to turn with) on hook size 4 mm / G/6 with BabyAlpaca Silk. Work according to diagram A.1-A.3, i.e. work as follows: ROW 1: Work 1 sc in 7th ch from hook, * ch 5, skip ch 6, 1 sc in next ch, ch 5, skip ch 3, 1 sc in next ch *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, ch 5, skip ch 6, 1 sc in next ch, ch 2, skip ch 1, 1 tr in last ch = 21 ch-spaces, turn piece. ROW 2: ch 1, 1 sc in tr, skip 1 ch-space, 7 tr in next ch-space, * 1 sc in next ch-space, 7 tr in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, 1 sc in last ch-space = 10 dc-groups, turn piece. ROW 3: ch 7, skip 1 ch-space + 2 tr * 1 LOOP – see explanation above, ch 5, skip 3 tr, 1 loop, ch 5, skip 1 ch-space + 2 tr *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, skip 1 ch-space + 2 tr, 1 loop, ch 5, skip 3 tr, 1 loop, ch 2, 1 tr in last sc = 21 ch-spaces, turn piece. ROW 4: ch 1, 1 sc in first tr, ch 5, skip 1 ch-space, 1 loop in next ch-space, ch 5, * 1 loop in next ch-space, ch 5, 1 loop in next ch-space, 5 ch *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, 1 sc in last ch-space = 20 ch-spaces, turn piece. ROW 5: ch 6, 1 sc in first ch-space, * ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space, ch 2, 1 tr in last sc = 21 ch-spaces, turn piece. ROW 6: ch 4, 3 tr in first ch-space, 1 sc in next ch-space, * 7 tr in next ch-space, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, 4 tr in last ch-space = 11 tr-groups, turn piece. ROW 7: ch 4, skip 2 tr, 1 loop, * ch 5, skip 2 tr + 1 sc + 2 tr, 1 loop, ch 5, skip 3 tr, 1 loop *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, ch 5, skip 2 tr + 1 sc + 2 tr, 1 loop, ch 2, 1 sc in next ch = 21 ch-spaces, turn piece. ROW 8: ch 4, 1 loop in first ch-space, ch 5, 1 loop in next ch-space, ch 5, * 1 loop in next ch-space, ch 5, 1 loop in next ch-space, 5 ch *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, 1 loop in last ch-space = 20 ch-spaces, turn piece. ROW 9: ch 4, 1 sc in first ch-space, * ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* 8 more times, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space, ch 2, 1 tr in next ch, turn piece. Repeat rows 2 to 9 until piece measures approx. 70 cm / 27½", adjust after 3rd or 7th row. Fasten off. Work the other part of shawl as first part but work first row in beg edge (= 111 ch) on first part, beg with 1 sl st + 4 ch in 1st ch. SHAPING: Place the piece in lukewarm water until it is soaking wet. Carefully squeeze out the water - do not twist. Then roll the piece in a towel and squeeze to remove more water - the piece will now only be moist. Place the piece on a carpet or mattress - carefully stretch it out to measurements found at the top of pattern. Leave to dry. Repeat the process when the garment has been washed. |
