DECREASING TIP-1: Dec 1 sc as follows: Insert hook in st, pull yarn through, insert hook in the next st, pull yarn through, 1 YO and pull yarn through all 3 loops on hook.
DECREASING TIP-2: Dec 2 sc as follows: Insert hook in st, pull yarn through, insert hook in the next st, pull yarn through, insert hook in next st, 1 YO, and pull yarn through all 4 loops on hook.

TABLE MAT:
Crochet 48 loose ch (includes 1 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 and 2 threads Cotton Viscose + 2 threads Glitter.
ROW 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 sc in each of the next 6 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 sc in each of the next 7 ch *, repeat from *-* = 42 sc. Turn piece.
ROW 2: 1 ch, then 1 sc in each sc.
Repeat row 2 until piece is square, i.e. approx 23 x 23 cm / 9” x 9”, insert a marker at the top of the side opposite the hook - do not cut the threads.
LOOP-PART 1: On next row dec 1 sc each side – SEE DECREASING TIP-1 – and repeat the dec on every 3rd row another 2 times, on every other row 3 times and on every row 5 times. Now dec 2 sc each side on the next 2 rows – SEE DECREASING TIP-2 = 12 sc left, cut the thread.
LOOP-PART 2: Crochet 42 sc from marker and down to cast on row. Continue as described for loop-part 1.
BORDER: Crochet a border round the heart with 1 thread Vienna + 2 threads Glitter and crochet hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 as follows: 1 sc between loop-part 1 and loop-part 2, * 4 ch, 2 dc in first ch, skip approx 1.5 cm / ½”, 1 sc *, repeat from *-*, and finish with 1 sl st in first sc.

SERVIETTE RING:
Crochet 12 ch (includes 1 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 3.5 mm/E/4 and 1 thread Vienna + 2 threads Glitter.
ROW 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 sc in each of the next 2 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 sc in each of the next 3 ch *, repeat from *-* = 9 sc.
ROW 2: 1 ch, then 1 sc in each sc.
Repeat row 2 until piece is square, i.e. approx 5 x 5 cm / 2” x 2’’, insert a marker at the top of the side opposite the hook - do not cut the threads.
LOOP-PART 1: On next row dec 1 sc each side – SEE DECREASING TIP-1. On next row work 1 sc in each st, then repeat the dec on each of the next 2 rows = 3 sc left, cut the thread.
LOOP-PART 2: Crochet 9 sc from marker and down to cast on row. Continue as described for loop-part 1.
ASSEMBLY: Make 2 identical hearts. Place them on top of each other with a little cotton wool between them and crochet tog with 2 threads Cotton Viscose + 2 threads Glitter as follows: 1 sc through both layers between loop-part 1 and loop-part 2, * 3 ch, 1 sc in first ch, skip approx 1 cm / 3/8’’, 1 sc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first sc.
LOOP: Crochet 20 loose ch with 2 threads Cotton Viscose. Work 1 sc in each ch on return row.
Attach loop to the back of heart.

Dear NG, the heart is first a square worked with sc (= 23 x 23 cm), then you will work both arch of heart, the first one on next row from square, the 2nd one from marker down to cast on row. Happy crocheting!
