Dear Jas, the opposite of ktbl is the twisted purl stitch, you can either ptbl, or slip the stitch, put it back twisted and purl. Happy Knitting!

Gutes Gelingen!

Can my confusion come before the 2nd height of the lace pattern, because I put a mark after the first 8 stitches and for the last 17 stitches? I think Helene put her stitches in the front and at the back a brand sign. Thanks in advance. Marina

Do not understand how to knit the 2nd part of the lace pattern. I have 14 stitches at the beginning of the needle, so that's 6 stitches more than in A2A do I knit 6 then right? And in the end I have 11 stitches, how can I knit the A2C over there because it has 17 stitches ???????? Explanation in the reaction to Helene is really not clear though Thanks in advance, Marina
12.06.2018 - 08:22DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Verhaeghe, after you have worked A.2 one time in height, repeat A.2 the same way as before, ie A.2A over first 8 sts, repeat A.2B over the next 96 sts and finish with A.2C over the last 17 sts. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Hej, mit spørgsmål er til begyndelsen. 121 masker.

There is an error in Diandra\'s description. It states that the diagrams A1 and A2 show all needles in the pattern on the right side. That is not true with the translation from Norwegian. It should be that on the diagram A1 and A2 all needles can be seen. The rest should not be included.\r\n\r\nCreative greetings,\r\nMarina
04.06.2018 - 08:31DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Verhaeghe, diagrams are showing all sts and all rows (both from RS and from WS), but you will have to repeat the sts in A.1B/A.2B while A.1.A/A.2A and A.1C/A.2C will be worked only once (= at the beg/end of row). Happy knitting!

Knitted stole with garter stitch and diagonal lace pattern. The piece is worked in DROPS Cotton Merino or DROPS Sky.
DROPS 188-39 |
||||||||||||||||||||||
INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN: RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. INCREASE TIP: Increase 1 stitch by knitting 1 and knitting 1 twisted in same stitch. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. The diagrams show all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side. CHANGING STRAND TIP: When changing to a new ball, it is neatest to change at the beginning or end of a row. This avoids strand joins in the middle of the piece. ---------------------------------------------------------- STOLE: Because of the number of stitches, the piece is worked back and forth on circular needle. By increasing on one side of the piece and decreasing on the other, the pattern becomes diagonal. Read CHANGING STRAND TIP! Cast on 121 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and Cotton Merino og Sky and work as follows: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit 2, make 1 yarn over, knit until there are 3 stitches left on the row, knit 2 together and finish with knit 1. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Knit (the yarn over at the end of the row is knitted twisted to avoid a hole). Repeat rows 1 and 2 until you have worked a total of 3 ridges. Then work stripes with alternately lace pattern and garter stitch as described below. STRIPE WITH LACE PATTERN: The first row is worked as follows from the right side: Work A.1A (= 7 stitches), work A.1B over the next 96 stitches (= 8 repeats of 12 stitches) and finish with A.1C (= 18 stitches). Work back from the wrong side as shown in the diagrams. The next row is worked as follows from the right side: Work A.2A (= 8 stitches), work A.2B over the next 96 stitches (= 8 repeats of 12 stitches) and finish with A.2C (= 17 stitches). Continue A.2 in this way until the whole of A.2 has been worked a total of 2 times in height. Then work a stripe with garter stitch as described below. STRIPE WITH GARTER STITCH: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit 2, make 1 yarn over, knit until there are 3 stitches left on the row, knit 2 together and finish with knit 1. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Knit (the yarn over at the end of the row is knitted twisted to avoid a hole). Repeat rows 1 and 2 until you have worked a total of 18 ridges. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue in this way with stripes in alternately lace pattern and garter stitch until the stole measures approx. 158 cm along the long side (or to desired length), but finish after a stripe with lace pattern. Then work a small stripe with garter stitch in the same way as described above, but finish when you have worked a total of 3 ridges. Cast off with knit from the right side. The stole measures approx. 160 cm along the long side. |
