Dear Mrs Tisor, when starting to bind off for sleeve cap, bind off the first 4 sts at beg of round, work to last st on round, turn and bind off the first 4 sts at beg of row, and continue back and forth binding off sts at the beg of every row on each side as stated. Happy knitting!

Der Schalkragen wird kraus rechts gestrickt. Sie haben ja bereits 1 Krausrippe über alle M gestrickt und stricken daher nun kraus re weiter.

Sie nehmen nicht 3 M ab, sondern nur 1. Das Symbol in der 3. R bedeutet, dass Sie 1 M über 2 gestrickte auf der Nadel ziehen (siehe genauer Diagrammtext), damit nehmen Sie nur 1 M ab und das passt dann zum Diagramm. Ich kann Ihren Videowunsch gerne einmal anregen, vielleicht wird er ja aufgegriffen.

SHORT ROWS IN BAND: Work short rows over sts in band to avoid it contracting vertically. Work as follows from RS on every 20th row: K 5 (= right band), turn and work back. Work 1 row over all sts as before. Turn and K 5 (= left band), turn and work back. Turn and work 1 row over all sts as before. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1-A.4. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS. INCREASE TIP: All inc are done from RS. Inc by making 1 YO between 2 sts. On next row P YO twisted to avoid holes. Work inc sts in stocking st. Then work shawl collar in garter st over the remaining sts, beg mid front (1st row = RS) as follows: * Work 2 rows back and forth over the first 13-13-14-14-15-15 sts, work 2 rows back and forth over all sts *, repeat from *-* until collar measures 8-8-9-9-10-10 cm at the shortest. Cast off. LEFT FRONT PIECE: Work as right but reversed. Cast off for shoulder from RS. Shawl collar beg from WS. Do not dec for buttonholes. SLEEVE: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 51-53-55-57-59-61 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with Muskat or Belle. Work 1 ridge in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Switch to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Work 2 rounds in stocking st. Then work as follows: 12-13-14-15-16-17 sts in stocking st, A.2, A.4 (= 15 sts), A.2, 12-13-14-15-16-17 sts in stocking st, insert 1 marker at beg of round. Continue pattern like this. When piece measures 8-8-8-12-8-7 cm, inc 1 st on each side of marker, repeat inc every 3½-3-2½-2-2-2 cm 11-12-14-15-16-17 more times = 75-79-85-89-93-97 sts. Work inc sts in stocking st. When piece measures 49-49-48-46-44-43 cm (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulders), cast off for sleeve cap at beg of every row in each side: Cast off 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 6 times, then cast off 2 sts in each side until piece measures 56-57-57-56-55-55 cm, then cast off 3 sts 1 time in each side. Cast off the remaining sts, piece measures 57-58-58-57-56-56 cm. Knit another sleeve. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew the collar tog mid back and sew it to the neckline. Sew the buttons on to the left band. |
